You can save each botton for any time(permanently)

The last time you input on a button is what it stays at till you change it yourself. They do not reset to zero each time. Even the power goes off, it still goes to the last time imputed. But sometimes will reset to minutes/seconds if you have it set to hour/minutes. One of mine does this, the other doesn't.

What is the maximum kitchen temperature that the cal-8b can work in without harming the timer?

Don't know how hot a kitchen it can work in but my kitchen can get to 100 degrees in the summer. It also stayed working each winter day when I open my kitchen at below freezing. I have 3. Only one has a glitch. Great timers. Can hear it above ALL kitchen noises.

This model has no restart functions and a video that teaches me how to use it?

You simply hold down the timer button to reset it .

Can you change the type of sound the timer makes?

The type of sound this makes is not changeable. But you can increase or decrease the volume.
