This one is great. After a day, my hair is still pretty.

I love this product. It helps with the texture of your hair. Mine is thin so I need something that helps my hair not fly all over. The paste is easily applied. There is no scent and the thickness helps hold your hair in place all day. I can use it for multiple hair styles and it looks great . No residue. I wish they kept the original size. I am bummed we are paying double for half the amount.

It took a lot of trial and error to find a product that works best to style my short, silky blonde hair. Most gels, pastes or clays left my hair greasy, matted or were just hard to work with. However, Rough & Ready strikes all of the right balances. It provides firm texture by itself or you can add a bit of water to your hands to dilute and control varying degrees of thickness and firmness. It’s an all around terrific product that’s very versatile, easy to use, provides great results and even smells great too! The only thing I don’t like about it is the company recently repacked their product to house it in a container half the size of the original, while maintaining the exact same price. You can see in the pictures that the gel doesn’t even come all the way up to the top in the new, half-sized container. In fact, what’s left at the bottom of my old container almost lines up with the fill line of the new one! I’d look for a new brand just on principle but I’ve already been down this road before finding Rough & Ready, only to waste time and money. Ultimately, it’s still a great product. I just find it incredibly frustrating that Henkel, the company that acquired Sexy Hair, presumably did this so customers would run out of their product twice as fast, leading them to buy a new jar twice as often, in order to give the appearance of sudden sales growth. They could have just kept the original size, charged twice as much and the end result would have been the same on the customer. Yet, that wouldn’t have been good enough so long as there’s a way to rip them off while simultaneously using them to lure investors, too.

I'm 45 and recently -- at least according to coworkers and friends -- got a "hipster" haircut. You know... the shaved sides. The distinct line. The top combed back. Unfortunately, I did not have the best product to hold my hair in place. I needed to hide the middle part, control the waviness in my hair as it gets longer, and prevent the "fly away" strands in random places. This is the fourth product I've tried based on the recommendation of a stylist. (Unfortunately, the salon was out of the product when it was recommended -- not a great sales technique. Thanks, Amazon, for having it in stock!). It's amazing. And holds my hair perfectly. PROS: Smells good. The hold is actually rather firm (it says medium). Larger-sized jar (4+ ounces). Affordable price given the size. Interesting yellow (neon-like) color. But not in my hair! CONS: Almost too stiff. Think "helmet". (I think I used too much the first day though! I was used to using larger amounts of inferior product).

Secure hold for the whole day, smells good, but man it's sticky. Make sure you're using it at a sink where you can wash your hands after!

I love the product but this is the second time I purchased that the cover underneath the lid was half opened and the jar only had 3/4 of the product left.

Good product but overpriced; almost $9 an ounce. Paul Mitchell extra body sculpting gel does an equally good job but is just over $2 an ounce. Also, Paul Mitchell is practically scentless.

Just love this stuff. Great hold. It gives you the natural tousled look.

Good packaging

Exactly what I expected. I used this product before when they had old packaging. Product still the same. I will definetly order again.

Bought this for my husband, he loved it. But in few days he did notice his hair graying.
