My first leather working set and it seems pretty high quality, not some crappy half fast set up.

I bought this for my mom to give my dad as a Christmas present. He has done some leather working in the past and wanted a kit with more tools. I was surprised at how many items they fit in this case. He was very excited to receive this kit. My only suggestion would be to plan on buying a separate organizer. All of the items are loose in this kit - there is nothing holding items in place like you would normally see in a mechanics tool kit.

I really expected to get absolute bottom-tier quality at this price point, but honestly, most of the items here are perfectly serviceable. If I were an absolute beginner, I'm not sure I would know what to do with some of the supplies provided. A little bit of instruction or even a card with the names of the tools so I could Google it myself would be very appreciated. In my experience, many of the tools here are right about on par with the less expensive brands you might find at someplace like Tandy leather. This is a great little set for beginners and I would recommend it for anyone trying to get into hobby leatherworking.
