First time user...smells and tastes like parmesan cheese, NOT butter
I have never tried ghee so I was intrigued when I read that it tastes like butter. Well, I don't know if it was just this jar but the one I got tastes and smells like parmesan cheese and nothing like butter. I was all set to use it as a substitute but now I'm not sure what I will use this for. It liquifies or solidifies depending upon the temperature and the consistency reminds me of coconut oil. I have given this a try a few times but it's always the same, I'm not a fan.

More buttery tasting than butter
Having never used ghee before so this is my first time trying something like this. The label states this is made in India for export only. The product is in liquid form when I received it which is normal based on my research. It smells and tasted much like butter. I like that it has no preservatives or chemicals, and is hormone free. I tried using it in place of cooking oil for my eggs and it turns out to be very good. It has a higher burning point than vegetable cooking oil or butter so my eggs did not burn at all. I used about 2 teaspoonfuls and it was too buttery for me so I will use less next time.

Great Flavor
I really enjoyed this ghee. The taste is nice grassy, nutty, and a hint of natural sweetness. It’s been great for cooking—everything from searing to adding a spoonful over rice—and it never overpowers the food. The consistency was good right out of the jar but a little gritty. Shipping was smooth with zero leaks or damage. Overall, it has that clean, high-quality flavor.

Gir cow ghee - good stuff
I had been wanting to try ghee, and now I have. This ghee has a mild taste and smells really buttery. Since it is summer in south Texas, my ghee is liquid, but in the winter it could solidify, but I won't worry about that now. This is a product of gir cows, which is something I learned about when I had gir cow colostrum a while ago. I won't go into it but it was interesting to learn about a different breed of cow other than what I've seen in the United States. When I tried this ghee the first time, I used a small spoonful in my pan for frying two eggs. The ghee has a high smoke point but my eggs seemed to cool faster than they usually do, which is fine, I simply made adjustments for the next time. The instructions on the label say that the ghee does not need to be refrigerated, so I keep it in my pantry.

Bought first time and it was good so ordered again but this is time smell is not good and color is also different. Our regular ghee is far better than this which is 10 times cheaper. Total waste of money.
