I ordered this about 17 months ago. Still works great. I need a portable light lamp that didn't require me to hold, for my tool bag and this fit the bill. Good balance on light output, you can get brighter lights and weaker lights. More lumens means faster battery drain. So you have some pros and cons with that. I discovered these are very useful for temporary power outages, I had one last night and it prompted me to write this review. I used the amazon brand batteries with this and they worked fine. Observations: Its smaller than you would expect, but making it portable for easy storage in your vehicle glove box or middle console etc Batteries can be difficult to load (too complicated) Excellent value for the price Uses an uneven amount of batteries so with a pack of 4 you have 1 left over. Not much runs on a single D battery. Its sturdy dependable and reliable.

When I realized how small this lantern was, I knew I would be disappointed. It's child-sized. But when I saw how functional it was, and how bright the light was, I wished I had bought several more. I like this way more than I even expected. Just great for sitting in a darker part of the porch. Easy to use and has several different settings, including a flashing red emergency light. Might get another to carry in the car. Excellent value for the price.

These small lanterns really pack a bright light! I like all the options for light modes, and the fact that it can be hung up. And it is very light weight.

I use these with NiMH d cells they are very bright and the color temp options are really nice. One lamp is enough to light a tent or large room. We keep these on standby for emergency lighting and for camping. Construction is very solid, good grippy rubberized base, solid electronic contacts and button, and battery compartment sealed with an o-ring. Doesn't feel or look cheap. Recommend the D-cell version over the built in li ion as you can use rechargeable cells for day to day and keep alkaline as a standby for emergencies.

Cute, soooo bright, and lightweight. Even a child can carry it. I'm buying more for my parents.

This little lantern is actually super bright. It looks to be pretty durable as well. The unit is smaller than you think, but that really won't matter for light output. I got the one that takes D batteries and it feels solid. Good hooks on both top and bottom to hang it wherever also you can basically set this light to any amount of light if you hold the button down. Exactly what I was looking for.

Parfait. Cette lanterne a un éclairage très lumineux et l'avantage c'est qu'elle fonctionne avec 3 piles de type D, certe un peu plus onéreux que si elle possédait une batterie mais tellement plus pratique en cas de coupure de courant !!! Un petit conseil : pour bien refermer le compartiment à pile il faut APPUYER sur celui-ci puis le tourner dans le sens des aiguilles d'une montre. N'hésitez pas c'est celle-ci qu'il faut choisir.

Funziona veramente bene anche come luce di emergenza in caso di guasti alla corrente.
