This light and refreshing tea are prepared in Kyoto from the season's first tender young leaves harvested at their peak of flavour in late spring. Our selection of Organic Green Teas offers authenticity in taste and premium organic quality due to special preparation by 3rd generation producers in Kyoto, Japan. From vibrant and captivating Matcha to bittersweet Sencha to mild and earthy Kukicha. There is a flavour to suit every taste and time of day as the caffeine content varies considerably, with Matcha having the highest and Kukicha the lowest. The traditional Japanese practice, of steaming green tea leaves immediately after picking preserves their unique properties. This steaming, sometimes referred to as the Sencha process, takes place within 24 hours of harvesting and inhibits the enzyme activity that causes oxidisation, enabling the tea to retain its bright emerald green leaf colour and preserving its nutritional benefits. All our products have a distinctive flavour. We never use any artificial additives or add refined sugars. Our passion is to show you just how delicious and abundant a plant-based diet can be, not only how it tastes, but also how it keeps us healthy and thriving. Our products make a valuable contribution to sustainable agriculture, by supporting organic farmers and artisan food producers. Through enriching the soil and caring for the eco-system, we are protecting the world that we pass on to our children." Review: Tastes good unlike others which is bitter. Me and my wife enjoys this. Review: tried many green teas, but Sencha is the most refreshing and palatable to me. Pros: Made correctly its flavour is subtle. Individual wrapped bags keep tea fresh. Actual Japanese Sencha tea, not 'style'. Perfect acconpanyment to Ramen or light japanese food. Cons : Expensive per box of 20 bags. Unless made following directions it can be bitter or bland. Aquired taste. Conclusion : As an occasional treat or Sushi/ Ramen accompanyment this is great, not to be treated like normal black tea. taste is delicate and pleasant if made with 80° water and allowed to steep for 2 mins. would suggest as first step before trying Mancha.
