Does it work on smaller screws like No. 8 & 10 since it specifically says 3/8 to 1 in?

Used on my new pub chairs 1/4" bolts. I would think it would.

I want to know after the red permatex dries is the color still red or does it turn clear like red loctite?

Hi, I'm assuming you are talking about the Permatex (Color Red) RTV high temperature. If that's what you are regarding to it will harden as the color red as you see it. Good luck
