After putting the batteries in the clock, it took about 5 minutes to have it set. The clock plugs in to 110V power, but the batteries retain clock settings if you unplug it to move it. Setting it is very simple and straightforward, including the alarm. The LED display has 3 brightness levels, so you can have it bright enough to see in full daylight and dim enough to let you sleep in a dark room. The alarm is a buzzer and is pretty loud. The clock does not keep track of days, so you can set the alarm a maximum of 24 hours in advance. The clock is a simple, functional product at a very low price.

I was looking for a simple, reliable, small alarm clock and this clock from Sharp fits the bill perfectly! Can’t half see well in the morning and the red digital readout is very bright. Works like a charm. Definitely well worth the money.

LOUD! I was delighted with this alarm clock. It is small, takes up very little space on my night stand, easy to set, controls are great. Simple alarm clock. It gets four stars instead of five because this thing is loud as ))!!@@##. I have NEVER heard an alarm clock this loud. It is awful. It wakes up the dead. I know because one of them ended up banging on my door complaining about the noise. Seriously, this thing is too loud. And there's no way to turn it down. And of course, you don't know how loud an alarm clock is until you buy it and bring it home. Sigh . . .

I purchased this for my dad (94 yrs.) who suffers from significant vision loss. The clock's simplicity, bright red digital numerals, and battery backup are praise worthy! If I could change one thing, it would be to make this exact design larger, so that the vision impaired can better see the raised buttons that adjust time, etc. While the words on each button are white on black (small, but easy to see), the buttons themselves are black on black and just having a larger version of this great clock, I think it could be award winning for the elderly!

It's good, but if you're a light sleeper, do not buy this. The good is that the alarm has good sound and it's easy to use. No issues there. However, if you're used to sleeping in a quiet room like me, this clock emits a buzzing sound. It isn't loud but you can clearly hear it when it's silent. I googled it and basically it's because of the cheap materials that make up the clock, maybe the coil. Like I said, if you're a light sleeper this will definitely affect your sleep like it did me. I'll still be looking for something to replace my phone alarm which I don't want by my bed, but neither this alarm clock sadly.

I bought this thinking it would work because why wouldn’t a simple alarm clock work in 110v-220v areas? Well it doesn’t. Only works in 110v. I tried batteries only. Nope. Be warned!

Had to return it as it came with US fittings but the clock itself looked quality.

It looks really nice, is good quality, and is so easy to use. We now have 3 of them in our house - one for each bedroom. We love them!
