Nice lookin
Great look and quality. My son loves the look. All functions work great and was not difficult to install. Used a wire tester to make sure wire colors were correct and wired right in. Fit perfectly on yj jeep. Seem to be durable as well.

Look and perform great
These bolted up quickly and easily after removing my stock lights. I took the time to solder the wires in and added heatshrink to prolong their life of being attached to a vehicle that spends most of its time in water and mud. The LED's are bright, more easily visible than the stock lights, and are more aesthetically pleasing as well. The license plate light on the bottom is very bright as well, ensuring your tag is visible and legal at night time. The reverse lights are also nice and bright which provide plenty of illumination when maneuvering in reverse in low light conditions. The housing themselves are decently well made, they're not bombproof but for the price I'd be a fool to complain. Long story short, not only do they improve the look of my jeep, but they also give me more confidence that drivers behind me can see me clearly, whether the brake is being pressed or not. Note: you'll need to install an LED compatible flasher in your vehicle if you're switching from bulbs, otherwise your turn signals will NOT work. This is not a fault with the lights themselves, so don't stress if you're still running the original flasher but have no indicators. No, you do NOT need to change your other turn/indicator bulbs over to LED as well for this system to work properly. I'm still running a combination of bulbs in the front of the vehicle with these LED's in the back with an LED compatible flasher, and my signals work without issue.

Blackout Taillights
I love this blackout version! Even though I didn't get an installation instruction sheet, it's not hard to install. Seems to be of good quality also. Well worth the money.

Very modern conversion for older Wranglers
So I had installed these over the weekend and I am very satisfied with not only the clarity of the lighting from them but it is also not an overwhelmingly bright setup for drivers behind me. If you are only installing these and not doin any other LEDs in your YJ, you do not need a load equalizer or any extra resistors for the install, these are plug and play. The difference on these as opposed to traditional factory tail lights is that the mount holes will have to be drilled a bit so the studs on the rear of these go in, because you cannot open these and mount them base first, so you will need to put the bolts through and mount the nuts on the back side of the tub from under the rear quarters. Not the easiest task, just more tedious than anything, but it gives you three different ground options doing that so you know you have that secure. Very cool product and its was packaged fairly well. It's nice they added clear RTV to the screw and bolt points, but on the bolt threading there was RTV and that was kind of a hassle to deal with. No need for pros and cons, yours maybe different fron mine so I just wrote the entire experience from unbox to finished installation. And yes, I did a full LED conversion so I am currently dealing with the issues that come with that LOL. Get some resistors if you go full LED!

Great lights, installation took some time.
The lights look great - Very bright and do a great job sprucing up the back of my 1992 Jeep Wrangler. A note to anyone thinking of installing these on a Jeep YJ Wrangler - the installation wasn't terrible, but it was less plug-and-play than I was expecting. The original lights on a YJ have bolts which feed through the back of the light itself. You reach these lights by taking off the red cover of the actual light. These were a bit different in that the bolts are glued to the back of the light and you have to screw some nuts from inside the Jeep's rear fender. Not too difficult, just a surprise that required a little extra work. You will need to drill out the holes as the bolts on these lights are just a hair too big. Wiring wasn't too hard, just had to do some trial and error to find out where to ground, which wire was the brakes, etc. I'm not too experienced with wiring so it might be much easier if you have the know-how. Overall, a great purchase for the price. Just use some elbow grease and you will figure it out.

Not bad on my Jeep YJ - But are they Street Legal?
LED combo tail-stop-turn-backup lights (one pair of two). With tax, about $20 each, so not expensive. They advertise them as more or less universal fit, "for Truck Trailer Boat RV Jeep CJ YJ JK". I bought them for a Jeep YJ. Do they fit? Yes, you can open the door and throw them on the seat, so they DO fit. More importantly, to make them work as OEM replacements, you need to do some work. These have studs on the back that match the OEM hole pattern for the Jeep YJ. You could drill out the Jeep rear mounting location holes and use the studs. To do this you have to remove part of the inner fender liner behind the back wheels and reach up inside to tighten the mounting nuts. Instead, I disassembled the lights and drilled out the back metal plate at the stud centers (1/4 inch hole, three places) and removed the studs entirely. Then I could use the OEM bolts to install these as Jeep intended. I must have received an improved version. The studs were welded to a triangular steel backing plate, and NOT "Just held in with hot melt glue". There is no connector supplied and the wire colors may not match. There are NO instructions. For my "YJ" The white wire went to white, the red wire went to Grn/Blk (green with black tracer) and the yellow wire went to Wht/Blk (white with black tracer). Black wire is frame ground. The YJ wire colors I am talking about are the wires coming from the old light connector plug. I re-used the connector that I cut off the old light. You can get a new 4 pin Delphi Weather-Pack connector if you want, but they are pricey, and hard to match exactly. To connect the old connector to the new wires I used electronic grade solder, and heat shrink tubing lined with fusible sealant. Then I covered the wires with 1/2 inch split wire tubing (wire loom). The black wire; I just crimped a ring terminal on it, and put it under one of the three mounting bolts inside the light housing. Last challenge... The screws that hold the light together are on the back side of the rim, so I used my ratcheting right angle screw driver to put them back in. The LEDS light acceptably, better than the OEM bulbs, but the increase in brightness between the tail light function, and the stop (or turn) indication is not as great as I think it should be. I have a high mounted, third stop light, so not a big deal, but many "Jeep Guys" install tire carriers, that do not have a center stop light, so beware. Now, are they LEGAL? Maybe not. No DOT or SAE certification numbers anywhere. Legal lights have SAE and DOT certification numbers printed on the lens. Most troubling of all, no side marker light, which the OEM lights do have. For off road use, these are not big problems. The plastic should be thicker and the wires could be a larger gauge too. I guess at this price point you get what the manufacturer can afford to put in it. The cover does have a foam gasket for dust/water proofing. The back side wire entry grommet is not a great seal, so put some sealer on it.

1993 Jeep YJ - Could have better directions
Overall I am impressed with the difference in brightness and dig the new look. The light housings do have a cheap feel to them and are also light but you can't beat the price. You will have to drill out the original bolt holes as the spacing on the bottom two of the lights are spaced a little farther out. As for wiring you should have the following from the lights and Jeep: Red, White, Yellow and Black from the new tail lights and White, Green/Black and White/Black from the Jeep. This is how it wired up in my Jeep: Green/Black > Red , White>White , White/Black > Yellow and the solid black is your ground. Make life easier for yourself and add male/female connectors to each end, I added a ring tongue terminal to the ground and attached it to the back end of the light, this would be between the Jeep body and nut. Oh yeah, you'll have to go under the Jeep up and behind the lights to actually tighten the nuts, bit of a pain but not difficult. I got some sand paper around one of the bolt holes to ensure my ground would make proper contact.
