I used it to keep my car battery maintained when left unused for 4 months. Now it’s keep a riding lawn mower battery, with the solar panel posted in a window.

I am currently using this on a Benz ML350 and it works great. This is a vehicle that gets driven randomly and may sit for a period of time. Without this, the battery was too weak to start the car at times. I added the connector directly to the battery (not using OBD) and connect or disconnect the solar panel as needed. I place the solar panel on the dash. Amazingly this newer version of the solar panel puts out more power in half the size. Before I had a Battery tender solar panel that was double the size and that was a pain to take in and out of the car.

I have this set up on my lawnmower. I have a riding lawnmower. It’s a John Deere and normally when you’re not cutting the grass, especially with the heat. The batteries tend to die. This has been such a huge lifesaver keeps my battery charged and haven’t had any issues since would recommend having these on anything that you plan on storing especially if this behind a shed or barn and there are sunlight you can utilize that sun to keep your batteries charged. I also have two more on my jet skis and they work great. Every time I go to start them up. Batteries are Still good and they maintain the charge.

Wonderful! We use these at my rental store on our dump trailers that we rent to customers. The batteries are always fresh and ready for my next customer and last through a whole day's work. Much nicer than having to make sure they get plugged in to recharge every time they get returned. They fit perfectly on top of the battery box cover.

Product is fine. Connectors and hardware appear good quality. Controller is trustworthy, based on my past experiences with Deltran. PROBLEM: Deltran doesn't provide BASIC, ESSENTIAL information in the product listing. At minimum the combo of operating POWER, VOLTAGE, AND CURRENT should be provided. Consumers should be VERY careful whenever messing with modern automotive electrical systems, and Deltran doesn't give enough info for customers to make an informed decision. If you don't have basic understanding of circuits, voltage, current, and power, you should think twice about DIY mods to your car's electrical system and take your car to a pro.

Product tends to drain battery. Use on 2013 BMW 750. Without this solar panel. Battery stays at 11:87 volts for 8 days. After connecting this solar panel for one day with 7 hours of full sunlight. The next day at 6am i checked my battery it was at 10:43 volts. That’s a clear indication that this solar panel or the controller is using some kind of small amount of voltage when sunlight is not available. That not good as it will kill your battery if there is no sunlight for 7 days. I live in New York City and we are still in winter season March 2025. Will not work for people living in New York City. To return you have to pay out of pocket as this vendor is third party, so be careful. This vendor does not issue refund, they wait 7 days from they receive their return to process refund, then it can take up to 30 days to get back your money.
