I believe I read in one of the other reviews that this was the Rolls Royce of tape dispensers. THEY WERE RIGHT. I wanted one with a longer, more ergonomic handle, and this one has it. It is soooo smooth!! I sealed a box to ship and barely had to bend my wrist to cut the tape. It didn't cost as much as other ones I'd been looking at either. I don't really remember about how loud or quiet it was because I was so mesmerized by how smoothly it works! It seems well-made and sturdy. The tape it came with is great as well.

I picked up this Uline H-150 tape dispenser to use with 2 inch packing tape and it has made boxing orders and moving gear a lot easier. The metal frame feels sturdy and has a good weight to it, so it does not feel flimsy when you are taping up heavier boxes. Loading a new roll from the side is straightforward once you do it a couple of times, and the tape feeds smoothly without constantly jamming or sticking to the wrong spot. The handle is comfortable enough to use for a long packing session and the tension control helps keep the tape from spinning out too fast. The cutting blade is sharp and gives a clean cut so I am not fighting with ragged edges. If you do a lot of shipping, moving, or storage and are tired of wrestling with cheap dispensers, this is a very reliable tool to have on hand.

I've worked in warehousing for quite some years and through several companies. Thus I've seen plenty of different variations of equipment. This is by far the most reliable and perfect tape gun for all hat you'll need. Holds a standard roll of packing tape, blade almost always sharp and is easy to clean. The unit has a decent weight for a tape gun but this what you with sturdy plastics and metal. I like that metal piece that pieces the tape through folds down or back with tension on it to work like a switch and not be limp or too tight all the time like others that I've used. The only downside to this unit is that it doesn't feature some sort of taser and a palm scanner in the handle so nobody but you can use it and your tape gun can't grow legs and disappear for awhile. That and it doesn't come with a GPS tracker as well for when it gets stolen by your coworkers. Lastly if you're unfortunate enough to have something break on this tape gun ULINE is pretty good on the replacement parts. From things just needing a screwdriver in most cases to replace.

I just completed a 4 person family move and put this to the test to tape up a ton of boxes. It worked great and still works like new, so much so that my aunt who helped me borrowed it to help her daughter with her move. To give you an idea about how much use I got out of it, I dispensed around 24 rolls, each 50m long ... that's almost 0.75 miles of tape :) I may have used it for a move but recommend it for general use. No more frustration with trying to unroll tape with my fingernails and wasting a bunch of tape, no more crappy plastic dispensers that let the tape adhere back to the roll. It will pay for itself! I paired it with Sparco Sealing Tape Transparent Heavy Duty, 48mm x 50m, 6 Rolls (60041) after reviewing various tape options, reviews and cost. It's a tape I'd recommend using. Loading is a breeze. 1) Flip the metal flap aside right below the handle grip. 2) Set it on a flat surface (e.g. table) with the open end facing up so you can load a roll of tape 3) Unroll about 4-6" of tape. 3) Line up the tape and make sure the sticky side of the tape is facing away from the roller, the unrolled tape will fed through the gap between the flap and roller and is long enough to go past the serrated cutting blade edge. 4) Then just push the roll down on to the holder. Make sure the tape is centered on the rollder and flip the metal flap back in place. Done.
