Can ClearFast be used for exercise hydration?

ClearFast absolutely can be used for exercise hydration, and I do it all the time.  The company is even in the process of evaluating the feasibility of entering that realm of beverages.  I think this product is actually much better than the standard sports drinks out there because the formulation is much more physiologic.  It doesn't have nearly the simple sugar load that something like Gatorade does, plus the sodium content of most sports drinks is through the roof.  The combined dissolved solids in a beverage like this is referred to as osmolarity, and in ClearFast this is about half of what it is for the other sports drinks.  This equates to a more physiologic load for your gut and your body to manage with any stress, including both surgery and workouts.  In addition, there is citrulline in this beverage, which is a precursor to nitric oxide, which is very important in dilating blood vessels in muscles and enhancing blood flow throughout the body,  This beverage was designed by an anesthesiologist for surgical patients, but the truth of the matter is that physiology is physiology, at least in healthy people, and this beverage I think will make you recover and feel much better after workouts than most other sports drinks out there.
