Good yoga mat
Replaced my old yoga mat. My feet don't slip on tis one. It's a little bit thinner than I thought it would be.

Quality of material is made very well!
Quality was great! I wanted a mat for yoga and Pilates. This suits both. The thickness is not too thick but not too thin. It’s perfect and the quality of the mat is great. The fabric does not pull. It stays taunt and sticks to the ground. I do wish it came with a strap for the price.

Yoga teacher approved - just wet it a little in the beginning
For price and performance fantastic. I’ve taught yoga for over 10 years. I personally practice 2-4x a week on this mat primarily hot yoga and it’s holding up great! I don’t roll it up great and I toss it around and it’s handling it like a champ. You do have to roll it with cork on the outside or it will crease. I also recommend pour a little or spray a little water where your hands and feet go in the beginning of practice to give more traction - not slip. Once I start sweating it’s fine but in the beginning sometimes it’s a little slippery. (I’ve used all the name brand mats over my career and practice and I just wanted to see how a cheap basic mat would compare and this has been better than I expected).

Good mat but quite thin
It’s a good mat but quite thin. It did not have much smell when it arrived. Fine after I aired it outside for a day. It would be really smart if this manufacturer stamped the thickness of their mats onto the mats. I wanted the same thickness as my old one but I had no idea what it was. And measuring doesn’t work well. I think my old one is 7 or 8mm now that I have the 5mm one and realize how thin it is. I’m 60+ years old and need more cushioning for my knees and wrists. When I put my new mat on top of my old one I can get that cushioning. Stickiness is good

Quality product - holds up well
I have used this for over a year - it has held up well. It is thin (so if you are looking for a thicker or more cushiony mat - be aware) I use it for a strength and balance class

Excellent grip, cushioning and style.
Absolutely love this mat, for yoga and HIIT training. I've owned them all over 20 years - some mats are too thick and cushy, some are too thin, nearly all get slippery when you sweat on them. This cork mat from Gaiam is of a normal thickness (5mm) but is light to carry and feels very soft underfoot. It doesn't get slippery when wet (no need for a Yogitoes towel on top), and it looks quite nice as well. The only thing to be wary of is that you must always roll it cork-side out (otherwise it will crack). And don't leave it rolled up too tightly otherwise it will take time to flatten out fully before class. This is now my go-to workout mat and I'm hopeful that it will hold up over time. Bonus: I got the Gaiam mat-strap thingy that is similar to one of those "slap bracelets" we had as kids (in the 90s anyway) and it works like a charm.

Not a great yoga mat
I don't think this is actually Gaiam, it doesn't say Gaiam anywhere on it and it doesn't feel like my other comparably priced Gaiam mat. Slippery and very thin. Usable, but disappointing!

yay, no nasty smell!
I was expecting a nasty smell out of the packaging, but nope, no nasty smell, woohoo! I got this because it's non-toxic. The orange sunburnt color is beautiful! This is a thin mat. I'm using it on dog training equipment.
