Zymox Advanced Formula Otic Plus Enzymatic Ear Solution for Dogs and Cats with 1% Hydrocortisone, 1.25oz

My dog occasionally gets ear irritation — shaking his head, scratching, and redness inside the ear. It’s stressful to watch, and I always want to address it quickly before it turns into something worse. This Zymox Otic Plus has been a lifesaver for us. What I like is that it contains 1% hydrocortisone, which helps calm inflammation and itching. Within a couple of days, I noticed he wasn’t shaking his head as much, and the redness started to look better. It seems to soothe pretty quickly. The dropper tip makes it easy to apply, and I gently massage the base of the ear as directed. It’s simple to use and doesn’t require pre-cleaning, which makes the process much less stressful for both of us. Of course, for severe or recurring infections I would still consult a vet, but for mild flare-ups and irritation, this has worked really well in our experience. If your dog or cat deals with occasional ear redness or itching, this is definitely worth having in your pet care kit. It’s effective, easy to apply, and brought noticeable relief within a few days.

This stuff worked wonders for my dog’s ears. I saw a review about it turning a dog’s ears red. So I read the instructions very carefully & it clearly states on the bottle if your dog is allergic to the ingredients not to use it. I was unsure if my dog was or not, so i decided to buy it & do a patch test first. Because she was excessively digging at her ears & scratching them. So when I receive the product, I did examine her ears quite well to make sure she had no open sores in them. Since she didn’t have any open sources on them . I Then did a patch test on the inside tip of her ear & waited 24 hours, to make sure she was not allergic to it. Then I proceeded as the instructions said within the first three days her ears cleared up. And they were no longer black inside & she stopped itching. It saved me a trip to the vet that’s for sure. Highly recommend this. This product hasNo smell that i noticed. It is pretty thick & clear looking so it makes it easy to apply how much you’re putting on the dog ear.

I’ve been using Zymox Plus Ear Solution on my puppy, Rocky, and I’m honestly very impressed with the results. He’s still very young and active, so I was looking for something gentle but effective for ear care. One thing I really like is that it’s easy to apply and doesn’t require a complicated routine. Rocky usually doesn’t like anything going near his ears, but this solution didn’t seem to bother him as much as other products I’ve tried. That was a big win for me. After a few uses, I noticed less scratching and irritation, and his ears looked cleaner overall. It gave me peace of mind knowing I was using something that helps manage bacteria and keeps his ears healthy without being too harsh. Overall, I think Zymox Plus is a great option for pet owners looking for a simple and effective ear care solution. Absolutely phenomenal stuff!!! I'm SO thankful I came across this product, it has saved my poor cat from a very stubborn ear infection that was causing him quite some distress. Even better, I saved hundreds in a vet visit and having to put my cat through the wringer even further. Being a rescue, he HATES going in cat carriers. He gets violent, needs to be sedated, and inevitably soils himself every time. I didn't want to put him (or myself) through that if I could avoid it. I thankfully came across this! His ear was very itchy, red, and irritated. After starting Zymox, I saw notable improvement within a day of use, with significantly reduced redness and crusty discharge! Now on day 6, his ear is almost completely back to normal! No redness, very minimal crust left. I am following the instructions and will be using the product for a full 7 days. Although he only needs one more dose, I think I will give him an extra day or two just to be sure. The product itself is very goopy and sticky, which has helped reduce mess given most of it stays put in his ear where it should be. No bad odor either! I also really like not having to pre-clean my poor boy's ear, he's already not thrilled as it is. Although a bit more expensive than other ear solutions and a smaller bottle, this one is well worth the cost. I super recommend this as a last resort at home before dropping the Big $$$ and tons of stress at the vet!

Resolved completely, I hope the issue doesn't return but so far so good!!! It's been a week and his ears still look clean. I want to start by saying I didn't know what was wrong with my babies ears. I have a 6 month old kitten I adopted that had very dark waxy and dirty ears. I suspected yeast or mites. I treated for 8 days although the issue looked fully resolved on day 6. Afterwards I cleaned his ears one last time with Veterinary formula ear cleaner also sold on Amazon. He was not scratching his ears excessively but I checked his ears anyway and noticed how dirty they were and I'm shocked he wasn't scratching because they were filthy and so waxy and wet/ yeasty looking. Cats have clean ears naturally so I knew it wasn't normal. The kitten was tolerating treatment surprisingly well especially for the Zymox plus because it's a little thicker. The ear cleaner I used once after completing the Zymox he didn't like near as much but it's quite runny. His ears are really clean. In case there's an issue with mites, I plan on using on and off for a month with skipping a week between each treatment since eggs can hatch after a week or two. The vet said this would be safe to use for a month but if the issue returns I'll take my kitten to the vet. So far so good. I can't believe the amount of wax expelled from his ears.. I would purchase again.

Wow! My dog had what I interpreted as excessive wax build up in his ear. He’s a feisty little guy and I could not get on top of it with mere cleaning and hair trimming. With a yeasty smell I turned to this product. The debris that came out of his ear was phenomenal, and now he is irritation free with a very clean ear canal. This product is highly recommended.

Had tried numerous different ways & products to rectify my cat’s yeasty ears which was giving her great irritation. Came across Zymox as a suggestion, applied once a day for 7 days- Problem solved immediately after one weeks use.! Even now a few weeks later she is irritation free and her ears are clear of black debris. Highly recommended.

By far the best product of I have come across for my GSD with recurrent ear infections. Her ears clear up in days, saved so many trips to the vet with our anxious girl. I can’t recommend this product highly enough!
