Oh my gosh! This is what I've been looking for. Hunting down mics for singing has gotten really complex these days. I'm thinking, whoa, I just want a mic I can plug into my amp like when I was 16 years old. It was simple then, it should be simple now. So i take it out of the box thinking, I bet I will have to return this because it's got some kind of funky cord connection that won't work. Nope! It plugged right into my amp and it sounds amazing! Amazing enough anyway. And the price is right! Just buy it, and you can sing it's virtues later.

This unassuming little gadget has transformed my shower singing escapades into full-fledged concerts that have my neighbors tapping their feet (and occasionally filing noise complaints). Before the Pyle-Pro, I had a string of disappointing microphone encounters. I felt like Goldilocks on the hunt for the perfect mic – some were too quiet, some too noisy, and others just downright unreliable. But when I finally laid my hands on this piece of audio wizardry, I knew I'd found my "just right." Now, when I host my legendary karaoke nights, the Pyle-Pro is the star of the show. It captures every nuance of my angelic voice (read: enthusiastic off-key belting) with stunning clarity. With this bad boy in hand, I feel like I can take on the world – or at least convince my friends that I'm a long-lost member of a famous band. The Pyle-Pro Microphone is so good; I've convinced myself that I could be the next singing sensation – or at least land a spot on a reality talent show. My cat, however, does not share my enthusiasm and often hides under the bed when I whip out my trusty Pyle-Pro. But hey, they say you can't please everyone. The build quality is no joke either. This microphone is sturdy enough to withstand my passionate, air-guitar-accompanied performances and the occasional accidental drop. Honestly, I'm pretty sure it could survive the apocalypse – and still be ready for an impromptu jam session in the aftermath. For the price you can’t get anything better and I mean that in a good way. I just needed something to help with a trivia night on a simple PA speaker and it did it well. Don’t expect anything crazy like possible live performance (can’t vouch for that) but for why it was needed it did fantastic and clear.

I believe this is a hidden jewel of a microphone. Let me tell you, at under $10 I wasn't expecting much. I was expecting something plastic, something that feels as cheap as I expected it to sound. Well let me also tell you that this little guy's build quality AND sound is all but cheap. First off, the build quality. Wow is all I can say at $10. This microphone feels nearly as well made as the Shure SM58. It is slightly smaller (15%?), but everything feels the same... the casing, the grill. It's all high quality stuff. It feels VERY well in the hand, I could not believe it. This microphone feels and looks like a $50+ microphone. No, it's not a Shure SM58 but it's pretty darn close for costing a tenth the price. Next, the sound signature. I'd describe it as having a warm, bassy sound especially with proximity effect. The closer you get the more you sound like a radio show host. The proximity effect is definitely there and in my opinion is a good thing when combined with a windscreen. I'm running this guy to a nice preamp and let me tell you that although this is no condenser it does have great clarity. As I said this looks and feels like a $50+ microphone, it sounds like one too. I'd say the sound signature is definitely BETTER than the Blue Snowball USB mic. The included cable is okay quality, not the best. It is an XLR to 1/4. The cable itself is thick but the XLR connector is hard to remove. The 1/4 side has the problem of feeling cheap. But I mean what can you complain, it's $10 for a mic and cable. If I were to review the cable I would say 2/5, but 3/5 for the price. Let me warn you, however, that this microphone only achieves a good sound when hooked up to a preamp. You can "get by" by buying an XLR to 1/8 cable and hooking it to your laptop or whatever but trust me the sound signature will suffer from it. It is dramatically less clear and has less volume, bass, and overall presence when not amplified. It sounds "like a $10 mic" without an amplifier, believe me. Overall the Pyle-Pro PDMIC58 is an excellent microphone for the price. It's well built and sounds great when hooked up to a preamp. Would I recommend buying this guy without a preamp? Yes actually. It's enough to "make ends meet" at $10. But this guy actually shines when you also purchase a preamp to get this guy at a seriously nice signature. Band practice, karaoke, podcasting, Skype, whatever... this guy really does shine at $10.

Does the job. Nothing fancy or pro. But will make a nice sound for simple sound

Ich nutze normalerweise das Shure SM58 und habe diese Mikros als Ersatz für den Einsatz mit Kindern und Jugendlichen erworben. Der Test fiel sehr positiv aus, ich merke beim Karaoke kaum einen Unterschied zum Shure. Die Mikros sind etwas leichter und lassen sich auch mit dem Funkadapter kabellos betreiben. Bisher erfüllt es also für den relativ kleinen Preis alle Erwartungen.

Este micrófono es una excelente alternativa más accesible al clásico Shure SM-58: Lo bueno - 1. No se puede vencer el precio que se paga por las prestaciones y calidad del producto, el peso es adecuado y la calidad de fabricación y materiales también. 2. El paquete incluye además un cable macho-macho de 5mm y 5 mts de largo, que se puede cambiar por alguno de otro tipo. 3. La calidad de sonido es muy similar a la del SM-58 y, en la vasta mayoría de aplicaciones no profesionales, será suficiente y satisfará las necesidades del usuario. 4. A pesar del precio, el empaque en el que viene el producto es de buena calidad y no pareciera, nuevamente, corresponder a este rango de precio. Lo malo. No le he encontrado nada malo aún, quizá algunas diferencias casi imperceptibles en la calidad de sonido si se compara lado a lado con el Shure. Resumen. Totalmente satisfecho con la compra y definitivamente lo volvería comprar
