I desperately needed a new mattress protector as mine was on its last straw after much abuse from my kids tearing my bed up. (Not literally, but parents know what I mean). I was bummed that the seller I got my old one from stopped selling them so I found this one. I was skeptical, but it’s doing the job just like I needed! It fits perfectly and stays in place. I haven’t had any issues with slipping or popping off whatsoever. I also like that it is soft and silent, you wouldn’t even know it’s there! It went on smoothly and perfectly.

As an apparel designer and product developer...I know my fabrics and sewing construction. Its what I do for a living. So know this going in...I am a tough sell when it comes to sewn products...and I can genuinely say that I like this product a lot. I'm actually kind of shocked that you can get such a well made item at the price they're selling it for. Exceptional value! We just invested in a very, very expensive organic latex foam mattress so we needed something to protect our investment. Since I'm a very hot sleeper, a waterproof pad is a must. Our last mattress was stained with my sweat and had started to mildew. I'm not going to lie, it was pretty disgusting. My husband is very hesitant to believe that such an inexpensive solution such as this could be enough to protect our expensive mattress but I truly believe this will do the trick. Here's what I like: 1. The fit is amazing. The waterproof top pad EXACTLY matches our new twin XL mattresses. The stretchy knit portion that hugs the mattress to keep it in place is deep enough for our extra deep mattress. And the fact that its finished by using an overlock stitch to elastic means that it is designed to hug your mattress and stay in place. 2. The top pad is extremely soft and luxurious to the touch. The bamboo stems/leaves are very cute too. Not that any of this really matters since you're throwing your sheets over the top but it does give you the hand-feel of quality. 3. I like that its sourced from bamboo to achieve the waterproof feature. Of course, my urban hippie self would always prefer organic cotton, linen, hemp or some other natural fiber...but when the need arises for a waterproof fabric, you need to go for a synthetic fiber that is hydrophobic. And in those situations, I'd much rather my synthetic fibers be derived of plant cellulose than petroleum products. This viscose and rayon blend fabric is made from bamboo fiber so while it may not be the most ecologically friendly material in terms of energy consumption and emissions in the manufacturing process, I personally feel it is the lesser of two evils to achieve the end-goal I need. Here's a little bit on that if you want to read more on bamboo fiber: Bamboo fibre is a cellulose fibre extracted or fabricated from natural bamboo, and possibly other additives, and is made from (or in the case of material fabrication, is) the pulp of bamboo plants. It is usually not made from the fibres of the plant, but is a synthetic viscose made from bamboo cellulose. (In the US, the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) has ruled that unless a yarn is made directly with bamboo fiber — often called “mechanically processed bamboo” — it must be called "rayon" or "rayon made from bamboo".[11][12] However, the EPA noted: "Although the manufacturing process further purifies the cellulose, alters the physical form of the fiber, and modifies the molecular orientation within the fiber and its degree of polymerization, the product is essentially the same chemical as the raw material."[13] 4. The construction is bomber. At the main stress point around the entire top of the mattress pad to the stretchy knit side panels, they've used the appropriate stitch for strength and durability: 4 thread overlock with chain stitch. This durable stitch should stand the test of time quite well. The quilting of the top pad also adds to the durability of the pad...ensuring that with tossing and turning, you don't bust through the fabric rendering the waterproof pad pointless. Absolutely loved these! These have been a life saver as I have a toddler who pours and throws everything everywhere. It is definitely waterproof, fits the mattress to a T and stays in place.

It’s a great mattress but the sides sink. I didn’t know what that meant until I experienced it myself. Basically if you’re perched on the side of the bed , it won’t stay firm. But if you’re more so centered in the bed , it’s perfect! Not too firm but it doesn’t sink in. For the price, definitely get it. Just know if you’re close to the edges , it’s going to have some give.

Tried those that you buy off the shelf at local retailers. They were too hot, noisy, uncomfortable. These are breathable, soft, no noise, more sustainable and still protect the mattress. Highly recommend this product for purchase.
