Amazon Basics DisplayPort to HDMI Cable, Uni-Directional, 1080p, 1920x1200, 4K@60Hz, 1.8 m, Gold-Plated Plug, Black

After buying 2 dp to hdmi adaptors and 2 medium price display port to hdmi cables which all gave a maximum 1920x1200 display despite all being marketed as 4k compatible I thought I would try a cheap Amazon basic cable. To my surprise it actually works and I got a 4k output. Cheap and it works which is the best of both worlds.

Works perfectly! I’m pleasantly surprised it can do 4K @ 60 Hz with a full YCbCr 444. Very few adapters can actually handle that much bandwidth. And at this price, it’s a steal.

Cable quality is quite good, with clear picture quality matching my displayport to displayport 1.4a cables. Only point for improvement would be a press release catch for the displayport connector, so the cable doesn’t loosen over time.

I bought this when I upgraded to a 4090. My previous GPU had 2 HDMI ports. The 4090 only has one. So while my main display works fine via HDMI at 4K HDR, 120Hz, my second display did not. I had a HDMI>DisplayPort cable lying around and tried it but it locked me to 1080p, and on a 4K display, 1080 looks dreadful. Looked around at adaptors and other cables, all of which had great reviews but also some negatives. So in the end I just bought the Amazon Basics DisplayPort to HDMI Display Cable, Uni-Directional, 4K@60Hz and It works great, plugged it in to my GPU and Display, detected the display correctly, allowing me to select 4K@60Hz immediately. Cable is a solid design, nothing fancy, but does the job that I needed and for a great price too. Now I don't game on this monitor as I use the 120Hz 4K display for that, this monitor is just for any side loading, browsing, YouTube etc, but the cable works great @ 4K 60Hz.

Good solid product

I used this to send dp to hdmi to my TV, and used a hdmi cable to send the sound to my AV receiver. Initially, it worked well, suddenly the audio dropped out and stopped working and the output was no longer detected in the gpu, and now without a dp cable plugged in, the pc is stuck on a restart loop with artifacts on the screen when it does start. Absolutely livid, seems to have shorted my graphics card, will only be detected by the PC when the DP cable is in one of the slots, and not plugged into anything else, with a great deal of artifacting. Can't afford a new gpu, this card was unkillable and this damn cable has somehow done it. How do I get compensation for my broken card?

Why do I have to fill this in to leave a review? It's a cable. It connects things. It did not fall apart in my hands, hence the 5 start review.

Great for pc to TV 4k 60z works perfect.

Este cable Display Port a HDMI es una excelente opción para conectar dispositivos con puertos Display Port a pantallas o proyectores con puertos HDMI. El cable es de alta calidad y ofrece una señal de video y audio nítidos y sin interferencia. Lo probé con mi PC de sobremesa y mi SmartTV LG de 43 pulgadas nanoCell y funcionó sin problemas. La instalación fue sencilla y el cable se ajustó perfectamente a los puertos de ambos dispositivos. Uno de los aspectos más destacables de este cable es su longitud de 1,8 metros, que me permitió tener la flexibilidad de colocar mi PC y pantalla a una distancia cómoda sin tener que preocuparme por la calidad de la señal. En resumen, recomendaría este cable Display Port a HDMI a cualquier persona que necesite conectar dispositivos con estos puertos. Ofrece una excelente calidad de señal y es fácil de usar. ¡Muy satisfecho con mi compra!

Compre este cable para usarlo con una GPU de gama alta y funcionó a la perfección, da salida de la BIOS y lo probé en resolución 4k 60Hz con HDR en RGB, también funciona para resoluciones menores como 1440p y 1080p ambos a 60Hz, lo único que puedo criticar a éste cable es que es un poco rígido en comparación del HDMI también de amazon basics y que el nivel de negro del HDMI no se selcciona bien si se deja en automático se tiene que establecer manualmente.

Utilisé pour connecter une TV (HDMI) sur un PC (DP) destiné au multimédia: Parfait MAIS... Ce n'est qu'après une douzaine de redémarrage et le branchement d'un écran DVI en direct que je me suis rendu compte que via ce câble pour accéder au BIOS c'était aléatoire probablement en raison d'un délais d'initialisation. Pas testé sur des jeux donc pas testé avec des FPS important mais films -> 30fps en 4K parfait
