Aprilaire 4837 Repair Kit

I needed a replacement for my old water distribution assembly for my Aprilaire humidifier system. The product I received fits perfectly an is of good quality.

So once you've been thru the Aprilaire videos, mainly produced by HVAC installers, the parts get familiar, and installing them becomes straightforward and quick, ie minutes. Particularly, what goes into the water supply side of the solenoid valve, and what gets installed on the other side. However, our result is that our indoor humidity never gets above 27% in the winter when our new Aprilaire humidistat is set at a 35%. So we are not sure if the system is actually working long enough to effect anything. It could be that the indoor humidity remains the same as near outdoor ambient less the effect of heating inside air, although we hear the solenoid switched on and water running (from the return air duct on the first floor). The manuals need improvement, and that's why the videos are important. But I am entertained by what the video presenters leave out. Seems to be typical American speech that after one explains how to do it, they never say why - and we find that in our national news and some TED talks as well; the omissions/followups are just as important; so when you talk to your peer or teen, add a predicate to say why, and add safety and love as part of it as well. I particularly liked the small parts in big hands - the videographer needed to zoom in on the small parts, because all we saw was a fist; very SNL, and no learning conveyed.

Exact replacement. My unit is a Bryant, but there were no cross references for Bryant. Too bad April Air does not give that info since they are sane companies. I went off measurements and it fit and works perfect.
