I gifted this book to my friends 10 year old son. She said he has not put it away since Christmas and is practicing magic tricks all the time. I say that’s great.

Ein sehr generisches Zauberbuch. Kein Trick, der nicht schon in jedem anderen "ersten Zauberbuch" genau so steht. Aber es gibt nunmal 100 bessere Bücher mit mehr Inhalt, günstiger und mit besserer Beschreibung. Riesige Schrift und viel Leerraum sollen über den wenigen, faulen Inhalt hinweg täuschen. Ein echter Cash Grab.

I remember enjoying magic books when I was a kid… so when the opportunity arose to buy an all-in-one magic kit for my son, I leapt! All of this to my enduring disappointment. The kit I bought (not Justin Flom's) was… I can call it nothing short of insane. Chintzy props aside, the tricks described within were bizarre misinterpretations of all logic and mathematics. No child or adult could ever make them work. Clearly, this product came from some part of the world where profit and sales is placed before the happiness of a child. (Any guesses?) So, the child was disappointed. I was angry. The kit was tossed. And then I remembered the cool logic of my own father: "Do it right the first time, and you won't regret it." So I researched… and found Justin's book. I put a rush on it. Now, this is the childhood experience that I remember. My son, the clever little so-and-so, is now baffling us all with his (working) magical tricks. Son happy. Family happy. Me happy. Justin, may I please extend a personal thanks? You should know that your hard work is making a bright place in the world. Keep it coming. Five stars for saving the day.
