This book is such a wonderful introduction to analysis that I am wary I cannot do it justice. It stands in its own right and for those who do not appreciate Rudin's brevity this book allows you to appreciate Rudin's brevity.

Very good book
Helped me a lot with my course in Analysis.It provides a lot of examples and graphs, and challenging problems to solve.

Good but not perfect
This is a pleasant read, full of properly explained theorems and challenging exercises. However, it is not exempt from typos and inconsistencies. In that sense I do not know if it is suitable for self-study. It certainly is a good starting point but I feel there is ample room for improvement.

A starting course on functional analysis and some proof knowlegde would be fine before starting the reading, but it has very good examples and excercises to work through
