The patented Dynastar universal step up/step down voltage converter and transformer is designed to keep you powered up no matter where you are in the world. Easily calculate the wattage of your appliances by following the handy guide below. Comes with 2 spare fuses for backup, and a Euro Schuko plug adapter to convert smaller electronics Heavy duty extra durable lifetime coil makes the converter and transformer safe for continuous use. Multiple appliances can be used with the same transformer, as long as wattage capacity is not exceeded Works for virtually any plug from anywhere in the world, with the exception of US 220/240 volt outlets (usually found on commercial products like washers and dryers) Five year limited manufacturer warranty HOW DO YOU KNOW WHICH CONVERTER YOU NEED? Check the total wattage consumed by your electrical devices and multiply that number by 3. You need a converter at least 3x the watts of the devices to leave enough room for surges in power they may utilize. To determine the correct wattage allowance of the voltage converter/transformer you need, first identify the wattage of the electronic devices or appliances you plan to use. This information can be found on the manufacturer's label located on the back or bottom of the device or appliance, or in the specifications section of the appliances' owner’s manual. Note: Watts may be listed as “W” on your appliance. If you can't find “Watts” or “W” on the label, you may find “Amps,” also known as “amperage” or “A”. If only the amperage is shown, multiply the input voltage by the amperage to find the wattage. Use the following example as a guide: Volts x Amps = Watts or 110V x 1.5 A = 165W. After totaling the watts of all the devices for use with the transformer, add up the total watts and multiply that number by 3. Review: Works Great - Moved from the U.S. to Europe and decided to bring some great kitchen electronics we had with us. This allows us to use things like rice cookers, mixers, etc. it works great and is able to handle the voltage difference here. It’s large and heavy, but so are some the appliance we plug into it. Makes no noise while operating. Review: Stabilizer - It works in Nigeria. Thank you.

Voltage converter- extremely heavy otherwise great product
Great product. Needed to buy after purchasing an iron that came from Germany that had voltage of 220 rather than the 100 voltage common in the US. The more wattage you need the more expensive so it was a bit pricey. I like that you can switch from 110 to 220 & vice versa. The one drawback is it is extremly heavy, too heavy to travel internationally with & the carring handle is a strap on top that I can barely get my hand under it so I need to pick it up & carry it as I would carry a hevy box.

Very robust and quiet, recommended
Came in good shape, no noise and so far it hasn't overheated. The only downside is a funky chemical gasoline smell, hopefully that goes away after a while, has anyone else experienced this smell?

Singer Featherweight 222K
I bought the 500w model to use with my Singer Featherweight 222K sewing machine. Call me a purist, but I wanted to use the machine as it was originally made and not converted to US power. The instructions say to figure 3x the watts needed, so I got the 500w model. Received item unharmed, read instructions, and plugged it up. Works well. It has a low humming noise, but not noticeable while on the floor in use. I only plug it in when using it, otherwise keep it unplugged. This brand was the only one I found with a good warranty. It may be a few dollars more, but considering the item I'm using it with, it's definitely worth it. Highly recommend to my Facebook friends in the Feathweight group page, as well as anyone looking to use with a precious Featherweight.

It’s a beast
This thing is a beast! It’s powering my Italian chocolate tempering machine and it has no problems with it whatsoever. It’s super quiet. I honestly don’t know it’s on but it is pretty heavy. I like that as well because I know it will last and it’s big enough I’m not gonna kick it with my foot. Yeah if you need to go from 240 to 110, I wouldn’t hesitate. I’d get another one if I needed it. I didn’t need an electrician to install a 220v outlet, must’ve saved me $500. No brainer. Get the beast

Works well, but smells...
Works well, however I did notice the smell a smell from it when I opened the box. Plugged it in, in the garage for a week to an refrigerator there, hoping it would go away. After a week, brought it in to connect to a different appliance in the house. Only lasted a few hours and the room smelled, its like a paint smell. Luckily, my other brand converter (bought in Korea - wish it had a brand name - also 3000watts) doesn't smell so just moved this one back to garage.

Nice product, sturdy and good quality
I (stupidly) moved a coffee machine, slow cooker and a few other electronics from South Africa to the USA recently. Yes, a stupid decision, but I purchased this converter to use those appliances and so far so good. We have used the converter a few times a day for 2 weeks with no issues so far. Yes, its pretty heavy but nothing excessive. It has a nice handle which makes it convenient to carry. I could not find any converter which would accommodate the massive South African 3 prong plug but I have tons of international adapters around the house and it works just fine with one of those. I have not experienced any loud noise - you can hear a very quiet humming noise if you are in complete silence but that is about it. In all, the converter is sturdy and seems to be of good quality.
