Extremely satisfied with this purchase. I almost don't want to share this because I want it to stay a secret. Major time-saver, unbeatable price, high quality, every keystone gets punched down perfectly and passes my fluke without issue and I've ordered hundreds at the time of this review. Highly recommended

Have you ever sliced up your hand trying to use a traditional punch-down tool to terminate keystone connectors? I have, and it sucks, so having a tool like this one is awesome, and boy does it ever save time! It's not perfect and has drawbacks, but I'd take this tool any day of the week over a punchdown tool and bandaged hand. First, you'll need to use this with Everest Media keystones, so this won't help you with whatever other keystones you may have. I can't confirm if any other brands work in this tool, but trying this may damage the tool or the keystone jacks. Fortunately, I've found Everest jacks to be of good quality and fairly easy to use, and they do fit into Ubiquiti's patch panels (which have holes too small for other brands' jacks like Hubbell's). The tool is a little flimsy-feeling and doesn't exude the quality of proper "professional" brands, but I haven't experienced any failures or issues with anything breaking just yet. The push-down pins inside are delicate, so you could break them by crimping down a keystone that isn't fully inserted, which itself can be tricky. I have found that getting keystones inserted correctly into this tool takes practice. You have to carefully finagle the connector around inside the tool until the jack face sticks out of the tool as far as possible (just over 1mm or so). It can take a few tries, and I found this rather difficult with the first several connectors I crimped. It would have been nice to see a ratcheting mechanism on this tool, which would make it easier for those with low grip strength to ensure they have fully inserted the wires, but this is not a big deal. The tool does include a little case, which feels cheap. I just toss this in my toolbox, but I can see how some would worry about damaging the pins inside, so the case is a nice addition and can also hold several keystones alongside the tool. Overall, this is a great tool at a very reasonable price if you're okay committing to Everest's keystone jacks, but if you do commercial data installation for a living, I worry this wouldn't hold up for heavy-duty use.

I've keystoned a fair amount of cabling over the years, somewhere over 2,000 terminations. I bought this crimp tool, along with EMS's RJ45 jacks in bulk, for my own remodel. Wish I'd found these years ago. There's a very mild learning curve and it's important to get the tension set properly. Once you're there, this is an amazing tool. No more pucks to deal with to keep dents off drywall. No more bang-bang-bang impact tool to mash a hole in your finger when your hands get tired or sweaty and a keystone rolls out from under the impact tool. None of that. A couple of hours to terminate 30 cables at both ends (I don't claim to be fast), everything was muscle memory by the 4th or 5th keystone. Push wire into one side of the keystone, turn the cable into its valley, push 4 more in, check, set the keystone in the crimper, one squeeze and you're done; the tool seats and cleaves in one go. Perfect terminations, 60 for 60, all confirmed by my Fluke CIQ. Happy times, next task. The system isn't cheap. It's also not cheaply made. The crimper has good hand feel and its padded case has real rather than living hinges and closures. Can't speak to its long term durability or how long its blades stay viably sharp after one small project, but I'm relegating my Fluke crimper, impact tool and puck (if I can find it) to a dusty, disused corner of the tool cabinet. VERY well done, EMS!
