A AIMILAR 999 Days Countdown Timer Digital Clock Retirement Vacation Event Day Counter with Count Up Function

Must have for any retirement countdown! It’s easy to set up, update and reset. It’s easy to read, it had a semi loud beep & good quality magnet. The timer stays on track and the image around the countdown is very good quality. My boss used it for the last 3 months of her countdown and it made her so happy, she now handed it over to the office to use on the next retirement.

As described, does not include date or year so was not exactly what I needed.

Device is a simple display of days and hours until your event. I will admit you have to figure out how many days / hours from today to the date of your event to program. Best would have been enter today's date and time and the enter date time of your event, then presto automatically calculated and displayed. I had to use a simple excel formula to get it right. Once set up is does what is does. To note has magnets for attaching to a metal surface and a small stand for your desk, it does not have a hook for hanging on the wall, I had to superglue a wall hook. I will admit the term BIG is a stretch, as clock is only 6" wide x 2 1/4 tall, however the LCD number are large. So the countdown works for me after some simple math. Time will tell!

If you have a year to go and want to remind everyone at work it is a great addition to your desk or work space.

The clock seems to stay accurate, but only time will tell. The large numbers (timer) are easy for me to read, about 21mm or 7/8" high. The small numbers (clock) are about 7mm or 1/4" high. It works as I expected. First, set the clock to the precisely correct time. Then, for instance, to set it to countdown until New Years Day, I set days to 213. The hour, minute, and second set to midnight (00). Then when the clock strikes midnight, pushed the "Start" button. Then it immediately begins the countdown! Cool. I could imagine this would be entertaining for kids, so they could check exactly how much longer they must wait for some event they're looking forward to. Like a birthday, Christmas, vacation/holiday trip, or whatever. The batteries are included. Preinstalled, in fact. The CR2032 is a common size, and are easily accessible so battery replacement should be simple. It feels heavy and solid. The quality seems to be excellent. It's wrapped in a small bubble envelope inside a nice box. Well packaged and suitable as a gift. I mentioned its weight, and my only complaint is the magnets are not up to the task of holding it fast to any painted metal surface I tried. It doesn't really fall off, it more so slides down and off the vertical surface. I was going to reduce the rating because of this. However, because it's flat and will stand up by itself, and it comes with a "kickstand" attachment to stand up on a horizontal surface at an angle. And since I am pleased to get something these days that seems to be well manufactured and made with care. So I'm tentatively rating it as 5 stars.

1. I thought I could just put in a date and time and it would figure out the countdown. That is incorrect. You have to figure it out on your own (down to the minute) and set it yourself. 2. The second word in the description is BIG (it says “Black-big.” That is hilarious. This thing is TINY. Seriously tiny. My iPhone 13 is bigger than this clock.

Easy to set up. Decent size-not too big or too small. Stands on its own.
