I purchased this to test whether my grounding mat was actually working, and in terms of functionality, it does what it’s supposed to do. I was able to confirm that my mat is grounded. However, I ran into a few usability issues that are worth mentioning for anyone considering this, especially if you’re not familiar with electrical tools. The wires are not long enough to easily connect to the grounding port without lifting the device up. In my case, the outlet is positioned much higher than normal, which made it impossible to keep the tester flat on the bed while connected. Because of that, I couldn’t touch the mat properly while it was hanging between the outlet and the bed, which affected the measurement setup. To get a usable reading, I had to touch the mat with my foot instead, which worked, but wasn’t ideal. Another challenge was the instructions. They were not very beginner-friendly. I’m not an electrical tech person, so I had to watch YouTube videos and read online guides to fully understand how to use the tester correctly. Very nice multi meter and easy to use. I would recommend this multi meter and the price point was very good I ordered 2 one was a Christmas present and one for myself. The website said that their was a newer version of this model but it also cost a little more so I ordered the original model and am happy with it.It is a basic multi meter good for use around the house and garage. Would recommend and buy it again.Thanks!

I bought this primarily for my wife and me to test batteries. We are not electricians. What I like is that the meter tells you in English whether the battery is good or bad. So you don't have to interpret numerical screens to figure this out. Easy for the non-electrician! Of course, it does all the other stuff too, like testing for voltage/current. The MANUAL that comes with the unit is excellent: unlike other meters for the electrically savvy, this one explains everything in plain English. Ease of use and price earn my recommendation.

Beautiful design, rubberized body very easy to hold and light weight. I found the ability to backlight the readings is the very best I have ever seen, this feature would sell me instantly. Would definitely purchase again and would highly recommend due to apparent quality and ease of use. One last note; the probes are very well made. For the surprisingly low price this is a fine unit.

A well constructed, easy to use piece of equipment at a very good price. This was a great replacement for my old analog multimeter and I'm very happy with this purchase. The 'hold' feature is particularly useful and the illuminated read-out is a real plus when working in poor lighting conditions.

This product was very useful for finding if our batteries where useful/dead so that I could get rid of the dead ones. I love this product and is very useful. It comes with batteries and thus doed not need charging . Only read intructions about which color to connect to which terminal. It comes with manual and warranty. If you do not understand just google it. It is very easy to use. Just turn it to DC 2V and touch the terminals with the wires and the reading shows the remaining charge in the battery. Definitely recommend.
