The burnt butter alter eco 70% cacao is just the right mix for me. The burnt butter adds a lovely flavor, the chocolate is smooth and rich (just be sure the chocolate is well within the ‘best before’ date.

About a year ago my sister sent me a pack of the 70% dark, brown butter bars as a gift, and now I'm hopelessly hooked on it. Every night I have 2 squares with a big steaming cup of tea. After having tried this, I can't eat anything else. It has spoiled me against chocolate now and forever. You can tell this is great chocolate by the fact that even among people who rated it poorly, almost everyone did so for reasons other than the quality, but for things like shipping delays, or getting the wrong product, etc... It may be a bit more expensive than other dark chocolate, but it's worth every penny. The fact that they produce it in a sustainable, eco-friendly way is all the more reason to pay a little more. If anything, I feel like this chocolate is under-priced.

Our prior orders from this vendor were great, but the most recent was 100% ruined product. After a contact, the vendor responded with an offer to replace the bad shipment, so kudos to them. It's an excellent product for baking or snacking.

There was no way of knowing the expiration of these chocolate bars so when I got two boxes of 12 and saw that the expiration date was in a month, I felt frustrated. They weren’t as fresh as I hoped and I won’t be able to eat all 24 before they expire.
