I ordered two of these because I wanted to use them as a valance over my patio sliding door (we don't even have a fireplace LOL). They are very well made and size is just as described. With extra stationary windows on each side of the slider, the entire window is 11 feet wide, so these two pieces spanned it with a small overhang on each end that ended up draping just right. We actually used clear fishing line to attach them to the curtain rod so you can't really tell how they are staying up there. It looks amazing! The ghosts are perfectly spaced across and the scalloped shape elevates the whole concept. I'm sure this would look equally good on a mantel as intended, but I hope my review helps you think outside the box. Get this!
