It works, but not what I was looking for
It’s a little bit falsely advertised, the sand paper isnt as long as shown. But other than that it’s good. It’s not very strong, and I had a very strong suspicion about tip of the nail being magnetic, but maybe it was due to me putting a permanent magnet on it and then turning the device on. It works. But I did find a hair in it as I was opening the package, it wasn’t my hair because mine isn't straight. That isn’t the thing I’m complaining about, I just lost interest.

Must learn Chinese...
The instructions are all in chinese. What's the sand paper for? I understand that this may have been made in china but when I buy products off of Amazon and all the description is in English and I get the product and my son doesn't read chinese and I don't either, it's counter productive to buy it. Now I have to teach chinese to a 5th grader. I get that Amazon has a lot of sellers and they used to be pretty decent, but this is like "wish" or "temu" quality ridiculousness.

So tiny.
This entire kit is small enough to fit on an index card. The pictures on my phone are to scale, but on a computer monitor, they appear to be normal sized. I know it's my fault for not reading the dimensions, but it isn't useful for my purpose as an educator if my students can't see it clearly.

Great for science projects.
Teaches kids basic physics and makes for a great science project (4th grade).

Teeny-tiny Demo of Electromagnet
All the parts except two AA batteries are included to do a demonstration of electromagnetism, albeit, a very tiny one! The copper wire is coated with a clear film that must be sanded off for the connections to work. This was not immediately obvious because the directions are only in Chinese, and the photo shows the sandpaper folded over the wires. The QR code goes to a video, also in Chinese. The switch is too small to be useful, but the lever on the battery holder works great as a switch, though again, this might not be obvious to some users unfamiliar with electric circuits. The teeny-tiny compass (size of my thumbnail!) was a nice addition. This is not a toy for young children. The batteries and wire connections get hot quickly and should not be left unattended. This is a nice inexpensive set that works well as a demonstration for kids.

Buy something else
Battery pack isn't the right size to fit the AAA batteries right and we couldn't get it to work as a result. Clamps also not very good quality.
