I'm honestly astonished by how much I enjoy this manga.
This book is messing with my mind, in a good way. I enjoyed reading the first volume so much that on the same day that i finished the manga, I bought Vol 2, and 3. Funny enough that day I finished the manga was the day I actually purchased it. And to my credit, I usually double check my feelings before buying even the second volume, so to buy Volume 2 and 3 at the same time should show you that I find this series great. Your stories are amazing and I hope to see more this upcoming year. Keep up the good work!!

Good storyline
I liked this volume. I liked the development of chikage deguchi and twould love triangles. It was good to finally see more movement in her adult life. I enjoyed it.

A solid volume, but not the best
This volume focused on the love triangle Chikage is in as an adult. It was an important storyline since much from her past was revealed, but at times, the art was awkward, and Chikage's insecurity is borderline psychotic. I find I enjoy her more as Akari. This is probably by design. After all, if Chikage wasn't so pathetic, there wouldn't be a need to turn her into Akari. However, I have to wonder if the mangaka, Tanemura, doesn't think much of Chikage either. She doesn't draw her as well as she does Akari. In addition, the story drags whenever it focuses on Chikage. I'm having a hard time seeing them as the same person. As Chikage grows from her experiences as Akari, I hope that she becomes a more likable heroine. At this point in the story, she's still a neurotic mess.

I loved it and its preparing for bigger things
I really enjoyed this volume because the work she's been doing as Akari begins to show as Chikage. I enjoy the parallels appearing between the two love triangles and how they're swapped roles. The issues are being prepped for in natural Tanemura manner. So, I'm excited to see how she treats this four-guy-one-girl love...Pentagon?

Good
~3.5/5 (Contains light spoilers.) In this volume, we get to see adult Chikage go on a date with her long-time crush from high school. This is good for her, though conflicting for the two men fighting for her and trying to be amicable to each other. Chikage has little experience, but it seems like this could be good for her to grow. And then that half ends and Chikage goes back to being a teenager with two boys fighting over her. One of whom confesses, though I mostly feel bad for him. Because it’s clearly not going to work in his favor, and it’s just going to get messy from here. I’m kind of annoyed that Chikage has at least four boys in love with her, two for each age. I’m also not a fan of her being a teenager again. I think her adult age is more interesting and more honest, so her changing to a kid so often bothers me. I want to like this series more than I do. It’s Tanemura, so of course I like it on some level, but I really hope it gets better soon. A review copy was provided by the publisher, VIZ Media, for an honest review. Thank you so, so much! This book is so lit. Came undamaged (which beats Waterstones) and I read within a day.
