Primal Kitchen Avocado Oil Caesar Dressing, 12 Ounce (Pack of 2)

I really like it. I discovered Primal Kitchen products last year, very tasty but with healthy ingredients. There was a good price on this item, so I ordered three 2-packs, and I'm enjoying them. I will continue to buy in the future whenever I see some at a good price.

DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. When my order arrived, I stored it unopened in my refrigerator at 38 F. a day or so later when I took it out, I noticed the shipping envelope was NOT SEALED. I pulled out the product, still wrapped well in bubble wrap, and saw dark brown-stained leakage down the side of one bottle. I unwrapped the bubble wrap. One bottle had brown greasy stuff smeared on it, the other felt a bit greasy but wiped clean with a towel. The one oozing brown oily fluid STILL HAD TIGHT PLASTIC SAFETY SEALING, but goo was leaking from underneath that. I saw that the bottom of the plastic bottle was totally pushed out and blown out rock solid, unlike the other bottle which had a deeply indented bottom. I cut off the plastic sealing material. The cap underneath appeared closed, but a slight half-twist popped it off. There was a 'whoosh' sound (like opening a soda bottle) and the contents foamed up and flowed rapidly out of the bottle, down the sides, all over my hands, the kitchen counter, and the kitchen floor. There was no discernible odor, but I know that this type of foaming action is the result of some type of fermentation, usually due to a contamination micro-organism such as yeast or bacteria. I emptied the bottle down the sink, and spent the next hour washing and disinfection my kitchen. I am not assigning blame to seller, shipper, product manufacturer, or Amazon, because I have no clear evidence of who might be at fault. My purpose here is the alert people to a HEALTH HAZZARD. I will be sending this review to Amazon, the seller, and Primal Kitchen, in hopes that steps will be taken to address the issue and prevent a recurrence. I am sure NO ONE wants to see this happen again.

I truly wanted this (Amazon) to be my new way to stock this dressing in my pantry. I’ve been buying this dressing from the store for the last 6 months and absolutely love it. When I found it on Amazon, larger bottle and in a 2-pack, I immediately ordered it. The first time I ordered it it appeared to be the same color and consistency as what I get in the store. The next two times I ordered it it was a very dark color and so thin In Consistency that I was scared to use it and I threw it away. As you can see in the pics on the right is the Amazon item and the left is the store bought one. I’m so sad that Ive bought almost $40 in this dressing and have been unable to use it. The items are nonrefundable so it’s a complete waste of money. My advice- stick to the store for purchases of this dressing.

Less is more. It's good but very strong. Use sparingly.
