At first, I tried with the sampler sheets and the foil got all over the sheet instead of just the black ink. I was so bummed out. I was also scared, thinking my machine was going to melt like some had experienced. I had it set at 3 to do the foiling on these tags that I used my laser printer to print and Cricut machine to cut. It was the perfect setting and went on perfectly with no issue. I did run it through twice and also used it to foil 10 sheets (without the machine melting!). Best foil to use was the Minc brand. Second best was the deco-foil brand.

Originally bought a regular laminator to create foil prints because this product was so expensive. But I've come to learn that it really does pay to get the better equipment. I went from subpar foiling to perfect foiling when I bought and switched to this Minc Foil Applicator. I recommend this product. It heats up quickly, is easy to use, and is aesthetically pleasing. I use setting 4 and 5 for thin cardstock foiling and I run it through twice, then peel when cool. Perfect every time. Worth the purchase.

2nd unit died after only 2 uses on medium temperature. this is my second of this machine, I had purchased one in 2024 and after using it somewhat regularly for less than a year, it ended up dead/fried. Turned off, no sound, no lights and would never turn back on. I tried different outlets, surge protectors etc. I bought another, figuring it worked ok till it died and today after only 2 uses since April, the same thing happened again. Another dead unit. I make waterslide decals using laser paper and laminate both the foil and the transfer adhesive sheet. I liked the 3/4 temperature setting on this machine because so many laminators under $100 aren't the right temperature for foil and don't allow much control over temp and speed. If the machine worked reliably, it would be great but it's just not a good value if it dies so quickly. I wrote to the company but don't expect much. Now I'm working with a lamination website to invest in a more reliable, adjustable machine that will last in my studio.

If you want a machine that can laminate and provide some beautiful foil accents to your projects, get this! It's quick, easy to use, and doesn't require much effort.

Expensive compared to other laminators. After using both options this is worth the money if you do a lot of foiling projects. Very sturdy. Extra wide opening. Works beautifully.

I used their foil and it worked well. Settings are a plus.

How do you make it work in the UK? Even though I used a voltage transformer, it didn't work the same way. I am very sad to have to return it..

Looks and works like brand new. Heats up in 1 minute unlike other laminators that take about 30 minutes to heat up. I am more than happy with it.
