Good, but expensive.

I bought the ecobee Smart Sensor for Doors & Windows (2-pack) to add an extra layer of awareness to my home, and so far it has worked exactly as expected. Setup was straightforward through the ecobee app and only took a few minutes. The sensors paired quickly and were easy to mount with the included adhesive. They are small and discreet, so they don’t stand out on the door or window frames. Notifications are fast and reliable. I like being able to see when doors or windows are opened or closed, especially when I’m not home. I actually use the pair on two roll-up garage doors, which sometimes open randomly, and getting instant alerts gives me real peace of mind knowing I can check and close them right away if needed. Battery life has been good so far, and the app shows battery status clearly, which is helpful. Integration with my existing ecobee system was seamless and didn’t require any extra hubs beyond whatmy ecobee thermatstat. Overall, this is a solid and dependable product if you already use ecobee or are looking for simple contact sensors for home monitoring. It does what it’s supposed to do and feels well made.

These are easy to setup and pair quickly with your Ecobee system. No issues to date and have had them installed for over a year. Customer service with Ecobee has been top notch as well with trouble shooting other Ecobee products we have and had questions about.

I have a 2-story 2500 sq. ft. house and my thermostat is downstairs. I have the "Lite" version of the Ecobee thermostats and it was able to sense both sensors even though I activated them from my office upstairs. Easy peasy. They read the temperature perfectly and look aesthetically pleasing, however they are small enough that they could easily get lost or the kid could accidentally play with it. Keep them in a spot that's difficult to reach.

I bought a house that already had an Ecobee thermostat installed. The previous owner took the smart sensors with him, so I got this 2 pack, 1 for the living room, 1 for the bedroom. They work great! My living room runs hotter then the area the thermostat is in, and my bedroom runs cooler, so this let's the system adjust the temp much better without me having to change any settings. I did have an issue pairing them at first. Removing the thermostat from the wall and putting it back to reboot it solved the issue, and they paired right away.

Really easy to connect and integrate in to the system. Would have been nice if they could also measure temperature as it would vastly decrease the number of sensors required.
