Works great. Lots of light. Good for projects and power outages.

Dewalt has many 20V light but this one is my favorite. Compact with a magnetic base that stays put where you attach it. The head swivels in any direction and provides adequate light whether you are at a construction site or working on your car. I have already four of them and most likely I will keep buying another one every time Amazon has them on sale. Thank you Dewalt for a great work light.

Dewalt's 20v work light lineup continues to baffle me. Frankly none of their lights have that Goldilocks quality for me. It's like they thought through the design about 90% and then stopped. This light has a lot of positives. The build quality is what you expect from the other 20v platform tools. Solid but unexceptional. The light output is bright. Given the rated lumens I expected to be underwhelmed but it's plenty for a small work light. This work light is IMO the most versatile in DeWalt's catalog. There are innumerable ways to position or affix it, between the magnets, the various sides, and the hanging hook. I particularly like that the hanging hook can snap down 180 degrees to form a 'leg' and allow the light to stand up on edge. Once it's positioned, you can then rotate the head in just about any direction to get light on your work. However, all these features make for an oddly proportioned light. It doesn't fit in your hands, even if you're Sasquatch. There's no comfortable way to carry it as a flashlight. It strictly makes sense as a *work light* that you position close to your work to give area light. So to me, it makes zero sense that this is designed to provide a tight *spotlight*. It should give a wide, diffuse beam suitable for close quarters work. As it is I often have to constantly adjust it so I have enough, but not too much, light on what I'm working on. With a design change to make this give a wide, nicely diffused beam this would be an easy 5 star product.

The best 20v flashlight ever. Im a plumber, and use daily. The head rotates both ways, very functional. My customers see it and want to get one it's that good. I have 3 in use, and 2 in unopened packages. Great price and light!

Pro: 1) This work light provide excellent bright light. 2) The light can be maneuvered easily to change direction of the light. 3) It has a belt clip as well as a stand. 4) It is easy to use. Cons: 1) The magnet will only work for smaller batteries than my 5 AMP. The 5 AMP battery goes beyond the magnet making it useless. 2) The stand works but is not real stable. Overall it meets my expectations, is of great quality and will be useful anytime I am working in low light situations.

While it may not be quite as bright as the DCL040 light, the head PIVOTS!!! Not just up and down, but side to side too! Working underneath a vehicle, the old light was just a pain to get it to shine exactly where I wanted it to, but this new light makes that all go away. I can prop the light on the frame of my truck, the angle the head up and to the left or right as needed. And the light is definitely bright enough for everything I work on! I just wish they had a diffuser you could clip on for those places where you want a flood light. This was easy to make for the old DCL040, just take an old standard led light bulb and cut the globe off, it was the perfect size to fit over the head of the DCL040, and made it into a flood light (a little black tape around the head keeps the globe on there tight!). Overall, this is a much better design, and although you need the smaller battery (2A 20v) to use the magnet, it just works well as a portable LED light. Using it with a 3A or even a flex volt battery is fine too, and I'm sure you can get days of run time from one of those flex volt batteries! Perfect for camping!!!

Mobilidade muito boa,a versatilidade que possuí com o grampo pra fixar no cinto e a ase magnética pra fixar no tripé fazem o diferencial,a única coisa que achei que a iluminação não é igual a de uma lanterna, sendo um pouco mais fraco o alcance, levando em consideração que estava com uma bateria de 2 amperes mas com carga máxima totalmente carregada. Mas é útil no canteiro de obras. Dewalt é Dewalt!!!!
