Too often the trans experience is given as some sort of horror story. That’s not my experience. Presenting as female is a joyful experience. It makes me feel unbelievably calm and happy. This book aims to focus on this aspect of the trans experience. The stories are short and independent of one another. You can read the ones you like and skip the ones you don’t. Review: You Are Not Alone - As someone who is struggling with body dysmorphia and coming to terms with my outward appearance and perception from others; this book shed light on a thousand small victories. Life for agender/non-binary/trans humans can be full of inner turmoil validated by an unaccepting society. The good news is, that there are a lot of beautiful moments in life that can bring joy and gender affirmation. This book has revealed to me that there are more of us out there than you think, and we’re all fighting the good fight. Keep your chin up, read some beautiful stories about gender euphoria, and find pride in who you are right now, in this very moment.

transformational (no pun intended)
this book rocked my world. I truly don’t know that I can properly express what this book did for me, but it definitely gave me hope in a time that does have a tendency to feel hopeless

A positive book
This book looks at a diverse community that is the trans community and those feel joy experience as trans. The essays each one contributed she there is more than trans pain in a trans person. A good book for the community or anyone to read.

Should be required reading for anyone that knows (and loves) a transgender person.
I have to give this book 5 stars. As the mom of two non-binary transgender children, I am still very much finding my way. This book taught me so much!! All of the essays included came from transgender authors, telling their own stories that I needed to hear. My kids are at the beginning of their journeys, which means so am I. I completely support them and I still mess up regularly (my brain reverts to old pronouns/names when I talk fast or without thinking. They correct me gently, and often I am already correcting myself at the same time.) I very much appreciate hearing the different issues, feelings, and everything. As a mom, we want to protect them from everything. This book shows me that I can't, but it also shows me how I can help. I still have a lot to learn, always will, but this book was such a blessing and a comfort. Thank you!

As a young non binary adult, I think I've never felt so empowered by a "simple financial choice" than I felt when buying and reading this book. It feels so true. And even though I didn't (who could?) relate to every story, every single time, I felt happier to know I'm not alone. We're not alone, and we're fighting together, and every single one of us's happiness is all of us's happiness. Thank you so much to everyone who contributed to this, and a huge, huge thank you to Laura Kate Dale. I will definitely read it again whenever I feel sad <3

What a fantastic read! I truly believe everyone, especially cisgender people, to read this to fully understand and educate themselves on trans, non-binary, intersex, and queer life. The accounts are a few pages long each which makes it easy to pick up and read in sizeable chunks, although I found myself so hooked I whizzed through them! As a non-binary person, reading the accounts in Gender Euphoria has made me feel so valid in my identity. I wish I had such a fantastic resource as this when I was growing up. Laura Kate Dale has done a remarkable job putting this book together, it is a very important piece of queer trans literature. 10/10 I will be recommending this to all of my family and friends, it has left a very strong and more importantly euphoric impression on me!

I really loved reading the different texts in this anthology. It is so welcome and soothing to have this selection of personal stories and thoughts about very different things in life from a positive perspective, be it tattoos or language.

Great anthology of people's experiences with gender eurphoria (a powerful feeling of happiness experienced as a result of moving away from one’s birth-assigned gender.) Stories from around the world including australia. An enlightening book on the human experience from different perspectives

The point of the book was to highlight the positive side of trans, nonbinary and genderqueer identities from writers who are trans, nb, or gq. I find it good to dip in and out of, picking a different essay to read each day, and learning about experiences that are different to mine and that show how queer identities experience life in different cultures. The majority of stories focusing on trans and other non-cis genders are typically focused on gender dysphoria, basically feeling really bad about the body one inhabits. This collection, by contrast, discusses the feeling of euphoria and is a fresh take that gives a beautiful insight into the positive side of lives that are very different. It's well worth a read to help educate about other people's and other cultures' experiences of gender.
