Incredibly bright, conical light emission.
This light is (VERY) bright. It is also quite large in diameter. Be sure to check the light fixture opening to make sure it will actually fit. It was bought to go in an outdoor lamppost, which was not an ideal situation for use in this case. Though the light shines in every direction around the bulb it is essentially directed away from the fixture/socket (wide symmetrical cone). It would be better suited as a shop lamp where the light needs to shine down on something rather than expecting a spherical emission of light. Heat was not a problem, however physical dimensions and weight should be carefully considered for your application.

Super bright.
I did not expect this to be as bright as it is. It illuminates my 10 x 12 foot deck while being in the corner really well.

Yes, it's good. No 'buts', just a good light
It's a good shop light for about the island bench. Bright as can be. Probably will last longer than necessary

Very bright, but will not fit in all standard fixtures.
Outstandingly bright...but not without a hitch. So I'm writing this at the time of completing this PITA, and everything is now as I hoped it would be...BUT...it's been a process. So I had a single outdoor fixture that I wanted to beef up with a brighter light in my off-grid home. So I bought this bulb. Came in, looks great, went to install it...sigh, first issue. The old metal outdoor light fixture had too deep of a well, and the immediate flare from the edison screw on this bulb was too oblique to allow the light bulb to screw in at all. Well, seems like a good bulb, and I'd rather have two anyway, so I order another bulb and a different fixture that I tried to examine from photos to insure that it was shallower. Spoiler - it wasn't. So now I wired in a nice new fixture, and the bloody bulb won't fit this one either. So I order porcelain extensions for the socket and, three weeks later (Amazon criminally delays prime shipping in rural areas), I'm finally able to actually turn these light bulbs on. They're as bright as I hoped, illuminate a massive area outside, and all is finally well. I can't tell you how long they last yet, but if they do crap out early, believe me, you'll know about it. TL;DR - Great bulb so far, but beware that they may not fit in your outdoor fixtures if the connection is anything more than surface deep.

A winner so far.....
Bought one to replace a failed 3 panel LED overhead light in a 2 car garage. It's nice and bright and I like that the cone shape provides more down light than the cylindrical "corn" lights. It worked well enough that I replaced the other light as well. Time will tell how long they last.

Great product
This LED bulb is insanely bright. 4500 lumens of daylight white light using just 40 watts! I replaced my old bulb and instantly saved on energy while getting way better visibility. Works perfectly in my outdoor fixtures, even in wet weather thanks to the IP65 rating. Solid build, long-lasting and worth every penny.

I can’t believe the awesomeness.
These bulbs are actually incredible. No lie. I am a mechanic and I take my profession home with me. I popped these ridiculous looking things into my garage sockets and I kid you not. Crazy bright for those long days fixing mine or my friends vehicles. The shop I work at ain’t even that bright. I can see just about everything in that engine compartment and need the flashlight minimally for stuff buried on the sides or underneath. Even dropped the 10mm and frilled found it thanks to those bulbs. My garage is running 2 of these stupid things and I will never use anything less at this point again. Hmmm I bet these paired with one of them stupid so met fans would be super awesome. A word of caution. Don’t look at em. It’s pretty rough.
