How do u test 110 volts

The first thing you should do is find or look up the owners manual on the internet. It will tell you how to use the tester. Where the tester lead cables are inserted. Where to turn the dial to do the specific test. You will find that the leads are inserted in the bottom right and left corners of the tester. The dial is turned so that it points to ACV and 250 to test for 120 volts. Leads are inserted into the outlet and the tester should display 120-125 volts approximately or the midway point on the display. I would find the manual first, read and understand it prior to using it. Electricty is dangerious.

Could I use the standard leads from another meter on this unit⁷

If you don't have a direct fit, it should be possible to splice into the plugs that come with this unit. Seems to me that the leads for the analog meters are alike, but I don't know about digital meters. Good luck.

What gauge are the wires?

The instructions mention a "mirrored scale plate" on the face of the tester for lining up the needle. I don't see it. Any clues?

I have the GM-312. It does not have the mirrored scale plate.

Nice little meter for testing AC/DC, Ohms, batteries, and DC amps. Does not have auto shutoff so remember to turn it off when done. And it takes (2) AAA batteries.

Third class Chinese product. After 3 months it stopped working and no guarantee, warranty or return for such a cheap quality product being sold by Amazon. You will get better Multimeter for 600 from local market
