Had to replace the CMOS battery in my son's Alienware M15 and this worked perfectly. Couldn't ask for anything else.

Is your PC kicking off one of those dreaded CMOS errors that sounds serious but only means the battery needs to be swapped out? This will fix it. The last one i bought lasted about 2 years. My Alienware had zero issues recognizing it.

The battery was the one I ordered and it arrived when they said it would.

Battery was stuck to adhesive tape, therefore when slicing through the thin layer of tape alone I cut the wires going to the battery right in half and didn't even know it. One strip of tap securing the battery could have prevented this from happening. I am skilled enough to have soldered the wires together, provided insulating tape and installed the battery anyway, works fine but more work than needed.
