Cool!
Haven't given it to the kids yet but this had us grandparents staring in fascination for an hour ha! Happy to say it came in good condition. Hopefully the stories on here about leaky ones are based on something that used to happen but has since been remedied? The tube was in several layers of wrapping, including bubble wrap and light cardboard. Perhaps it helped that I ordered it with a puzzle & other light things that added protection. If you order yours with an anvil and some bricks your mileage may vary. There is a gross black oil slick layer on the top of the liquid that the ad doesn't show. I assume it can't be helped. Must be rust or something? But that doesn't interfere with seeing & playing with the metal pieces. Really neat to stare at. I wish it came with a pamphlet full of relevant scientific facts, so it was more of an educational gift for kids, or a conversation starter to keep on one's coffee table. That would take this up a notch, give it more "wow" factor, imho. As is it's just a toy, a classier version of the fidget spinner.

A huge let down
I am supremely disappointed in this product. Bought this as a gift for my younger brother for his birthday. It shipped quickly and I took a look at it when it came in and it seemed fine. I wrapped it up and put it on my desk for two weeks. Then he opened it up, played with it for 2 days and the fluid leaked everywhere and made a huge mess. It was a shame since he was very happy with this little toy. I tried to get a refund and order another but now they did a price increase and removed this from being prime eligible (essentially doubling the original cost). Now it's not worth it to replace which is very disappointing. I strongly recommend that you look elsewhere for a ferrofluid display. AVOID.

Neat, but needed more ferofluid
It was pretty cool, and it did mostly work the way that it was advertised, it just had very little ferofluid inside so the effect was very small.

Great product, but chance of leaking
I love the product, however like others have stated, mine began to leak and created quite the mess. Incredible product, provides me plenty of entertainment, however sadly only lasted a day. waiting to hear back from company about replacement but from what i have heard they are good about replacing defective products so will have to wait and see. overall very entertaining desk toy to distract me from time to time

Good delivery time, bad product.
Should have listened to the other reviews on this one. The concept was super cool, as this was a unique looking display and a decent price for a first time exploration into ferrofluid i figured it couldn't hurt, especially as most products i get with fulfillment from amazon have been amazing. The package came right on time: well packaged which had me pleased in a box with bubble wrap, opened it however to a horrible mess. I am glad that the manufacturers had sealed it in a ziploc bag otherwise that would have been a mess in the packaging, though in hindsight that should have worried me that they might have expected such a problem to occur. I didn't try to remove the product to see what was left, looked like nearly all the ferrofluid had leaked out. Had me really disappointed, this was my first real bad product i have received here, returned it since its not worth keeping around. Pros: Great packaging, fast delivery, came with magnet for use Cons: Faulty product: leaking, unable to salavage anything from this. Wouldn't waste the money until they find a way to better seal the bottle.

Leaky!! BUT made it right!
The bottle is leaking something dark and oily. I thought it was leftover from manufacturing, but I cleaned it up, and within hours, it was a mess again. The oily substance also appears to be floating on the top of the clear liquid. It is not magnetic. I bought this for my husband for Christmas, but certainly can't give it to him like this. Disappointed. UPDATE: The seller immediately made this right by sending out a new bottle, which is perfect. Amazing customer service, fun product!

Looks better in the picture then real life
Expecting the fluid to move up and down the screw. It did not. Since there is a magnet in the lid attached to the screw the fluid stayed on the screw. Only a little bit of the fluid moved when the included magnet was rubbed around the bottle. It also started leaking a few days later which was odd.
