This OBD2 scanner is price right and fits perfectly in my well hidden OBD2 port on my 2009 Honda Civic. Even though I don't have a check engine light on and I only have 77k miles, one day it will and this scanner will tell me what the problem may be. I ran a check and everything came back in normal specs. As Scottie Kilmer says in his YouTube videos, it's not best to bring your car to the dealer or mechanic with a check engine light on and leave it to them to tell you what it might be. He suggests buying a inexpensive scanner (he recommends several) and finding out for yourself first. It might be a easy fix that you can do yourself and save a lot of money.

Nice scan tool, easy to use, informative. I purchased this as a backup and it could actually be a main scan tool.

2006 Freestar 3.8 V6: Quickly listed 2 P2004 check-engine codes, provided good description of issue. Further research showed common problem with bushings/arms breaking/falling out, matching my problem. Fixed with Doorman pack of 5 for <$10. Apparently earlier service to replace I/M gasket did not get these back in properly. Fixing it myself in about an hour, saved money/time + now I know they are in correctly (tricky to get all 4 legs in its hole). Spend extra $10 on this model for larger display.

The instructions for setting it are very unclear.
