desertcart.com: Likebook Ares-Note E-Reader, 7.8” Eink Carta Screen, Capacitive and Stylus Dual Touch, Hand Writing, Cold/Warm Light, Built-in Audible, Android 8.1, Octa Core Processor , 2GB+32GB(Black) Review: Considering Cost: Its Highly Recommended - I work in a school so managing tasks and papers start with a To Do list in the morning. Note taking experience works well since it replaces my notebooks of which I have a filled shelf accumulated through the years. Marking papers downloaded from Google Drive is quite efficient, generally satisfied. I also downloaded Kindle and Comixology for entertainment, and the split screen feature is useful during my graduate school readings. On the other side, the ghosting and the speed in opening webpages are off-putting in my experience, but considering that it's an E-note and has 2 GB RAM--- its generally manageable, just stop comparing it to your 8 GB laptop or tablet perhaps. Also, I'm still looking for a case but after two shops (I'm in the Middle East by the way), its quite a challenge to find the perfect. Overall, considering its cost and the some of its quirks, I still recommend Likebook to professionals and students--- consider giving this a present to hard core individuals (LOL). Review: Completely satisfied with purchase, so far - Great combination for reading and writing, I often stay up and need to write to calm and ease my nerves, I have a laptop but I'd much rather take a pen to paper. This is a great middle ground as I can write without filling out journals and have to hunt down those journals to re-read what I wrote. Great backlight is easy on the eyes and so far the battery is great.

Love it
This was the best decision I made wrt an e-reader. Wanted E-ink, and didn't want the limitations on apps or formats I could use hence this being Android based was the perfect option. Downloaded the Kindle app and Overdrive and the Boyue OS is also super user friendly. The annotations really do look like real ink. Awesome battery life once wifi is off, but I only put it on to download stuff. With daily use it lasts a couple weeks. Only downside, but not enough to take off a star, is that the touchscreen is sometimes slow to respond. Not to turn pages, just the menu options. It could be the protective screen I put on, and doesn't bother me, but might be an issue for some.

Unable to rotate to landscape!
Deal breaker for me: this tablet cannot be used in landscape mode. What gives with that? You are stuck in portrait mode. Sorry, but that is inexcusable for an e-ink reader in 2022. I sent the unit back in less than 4 hours after receiving it. Pity, for other than that, I would have liked this device.

Bought two. Didn't last.
The screen got all distorted and weird on the first. Company said I must have applied great force...I was reading at the time. No warranty coverage, no return. Screen's not visible damaged, either. But only part of it seems to work properly. On the second, the screen started coming loose from the back of the device. Just randomly, as far as I could tell. No way to snap it back in place. Taped it, then the touchscreen quit working after a few more days. Kinda need that. It was great for about a month. Twice. Funny how the new model boasts improved internal structure, isn't it? But I'm still out the $$, even though they clearly know about the problems. Too bad they don't stand behind their products. It's almost a wonderful tablet.
