This is the first time I purchased a scented candle online and let me say that I was excited when it arrived. The candle arrived in a very pretty box that was very well packaged. I must say I was impressed with the care La Jolie Muse took in ensuring a quality product was delivered to my home. The candle is stunning! Sahara Ambre has such a luxurious scent! Everyone comments on how great the room smells. I also purchased the same scent in a larger size and was blown away by the beauty of that candle as well! Both candles are worth every penny and I will routinely buy for my home as well as gifts! I will include a picture of each candle!

I have two candles from this brand and I’m ready to buy another just so I can show everyone an unboxing with how beautiful the packaging is. This seriously would make the perfect gift for birthday, Mother’s Day, Valentine’s Day- you name it! Why did you pick this product vs others?: The beautiful candle holder with lid. This candle matches the country cottage/ vintage aesthetic throughout my home and I’m hoping after I burn the candle to repurpose it as a pretty glass jar Quality: You can tell it is crafted with quality! It smells great and doesn’t seem to burn too fast. I will be buying my third candle soon!

Updated: the seller reached out to me after I left my review to try and resolve the issue, and offered to send me a new candle in either the same scent or a new one. I chose to try a new one. The original scent I tried was Sahara ambre and you really have to be up on it to even smell it all. I was very frustrated at that. But the new scent I tried was Sylvan Fig and I felt that scent was stronger. It was a bigger size too, so I think it threw the fragrance more, so I recommend the big candles over the smaller. Overall I’m happy with the new candle and really appreciate the great customer service in trying to make sure I was satisfied with my purchase. Original review: This candle comes in a beautiful jar but as far as having any fragrance you can really smell as it’s burning, it’s a waste of money. So frustrating to spend this amount of money on a candle that you can barely smell while burning.

When I bought this candle, I was hoping that it would smell like the Voluspa's baltic amber. It does not. Straight out of the box, you can smell a strong amber however when you burn it all scent seems to vanish. I also saw where other reviews mentioned tunneling. I thought oh well maybe they didn't let it burn long enough the first burn and when I read the directions included in the box, it said just that. Well guess what, I did what the instructions said and it's still not burning an even burn. It's tunneling. Would I buy it again? Probably not. Can the container be multi purposed? Yes, it's the only reason I'm not upset about the candle. Is it overly priced for what you get? Eh, yeah I would say so. I was hopeful but back to Voluspa I go.
