Rancho Meladuco Organic Medjool Dates: 2 lb. Loose

I normally got their dates in the smaller containers, so I was happy to find a value box. I found the smaller cartons to be better tasting, but the box is much better value. Most other brands I have tried are delivered very sticky. These are nice and dry and easy to handle without making a mess of your hands. They are also the best tasting. None were mushy. They were very firm and chewy. As other reviewers have mentioned, they are shipped in a simple box with a wax paper liner. It's not sealed in any way. This may contribute to them being firmer and possibly more dried out, but I like it that way so I don't count that against the review.

It is so hard to find good dates where I live, I usually have to rely on the bagged ones on the dried fruit aisle of the grocery store. After getting nothing but dry stale ones from the store I decided to order these. They were great, so soft they melt in your mouth. Fantastic quality, great size. I left them in the box and kept them in my fridge. I eat 2 almost daily and these lasted me a good bit of time. They did get a little drier towards the end but I blame myself for not putting them in a better, protective container while in the fridge.

I am a Date and Goodie Foodie. I've tried many brands, but Rancho Meladuco Organic Medjool Dates are by far, the most delicious, succulent, chubby dates that have ever landed on my lips. They are better than candy! So sweet and satisfying. I eat them in between meals, use them in cookies, muffins, oatmeal, biscuits, etc. I also grind them up and use them as a coffee substitute. Delicious! Without reservation, I choose these dates!

Problem with shipping unable to deliver had to pickup at Post office inconvenient!

Sweet and fresh

My favorite dates. Great flavor and texture, and they aren't too dry. These are a little more expensive than some other brands. In my opinion, it's worth it. Anytime you don't have anything to make for lunch, grab 3 dates, a handful of nuts, a square of cheese, and Bob's your uncle!

So much better than any dates I have found in store. And I love all the date recipes on their website!

Not all dates are fresh, some are dry like old, not fresh. The package is not the best, the carton box has a bad smell.
