Want to customize the tone on your Hifi, this works great.
Just got this unit. I am not an audiophile so love the ability to manage the sound to my liking. Using this mainly to cut the mids and add lower end and crisp highs. Was debating this unit vs the higher end unit with more freq control, but this one seems to be enough

Greatest audio device ever.
I've been into hifi since the mid sixties and my first headphone was the Koss pro4/aa in the seventies. I have purchased a whole lot of equipment throughout the years and i can honestly say that this little tool is the best thing to ever happen for headphones. My current setup consists of Fostex th900 mk2 ,original v-moda m 100,1 more triple driver over ear phones with ifi black label dac/headphone amp and mainly listening to tidal from my laptop. It produces magnificent sound. You can custom tailor the sound, adjust anything. It turns the fostex into an absolute beast, actually can tighten up the bass and make it more powerful. It slams hard now. Any bass heads will want this for sure. Its also great with the 1 more triple driver, but the best combo was with the v-moda m100. It turns them into one of the all time great pairings. It produces no distortion or signal loss and opens up any headphone. Everything is much bigger and more powerful. It really is the best thing for headphones. Once you hook this up you will never go back. I also hooked the loki to a very old smsl headphone amp and while it sounded great, it was not as great as the pairing with the ifi black label. If anybody has an ifi amp with the 3d excite swith on it you definitely want this. It takes you to a different world. I truly believe i am more impressed with this device than any audio device that i have ever heard. This is my first Schiit product although i have been following them a long time so next time i need something i will surely at them first .Great job Schiit

Beginner EQ?
This review will be based on my experience with the following stack, The Schiit Modi & Magni. I also tested it with an XDuoo TA-20 Tube amp. Headphones/IEMs used: HD 6xx, HD 600, Meze 109 Pro, U12T. First and foremost, I am not the most skilled at picking apart the finest of details between amps/dacs, and this review is mostly for people who are brand new to this hobby. The Schiit Loki Mini + is a great addition to your Schiit stack.Turning either of the 4 band knobs, you could easily turn up Bass, Midbass, Mid Range, and Treble. (Exactly in that order from left knob to right knob.) The knobs themselves turn (both left only about 90-120 degrees, so even if they do feel premium, there isn't much adjustment to any of the frequencies to really create the eq profile I truly crave. It has a bypass switch, so you can also disable/enable the EQ. The build quality is great. I only used it for a brief 20 minutes with the tube amp, because I noticed when adjusting the bands, almost nothing in sound changed, so I thought it was pointless to keep trying to find the smallest details. I would only recommend using the Loki with other Schiit products. (I'm not too experienced with this, so maybe it may work with other dac/amps more efficiently.) For 150-200$ I wouldn't say its worth it. After 6 months of use, I only really did use the Loki for either bass adjustment for music, and treble adjustment for games (footsteps). And even when I did use it, the EQ isn't as noticeable as other devices I've tested. I would much rather just save the money and continue using the basic Schiit stack. ***Final thoughts: If you're adding this to your Modi/Magni stack, For 150-200$ I don't think you're getting that much out of this, and this or the Lokius are pretty much your only options. I recently bought a Qudelix 5k, and sure the sample rate might be a bit lower than my Modi or RME, but for 110$ you get 10 bands of Parametric EQ, saved EQ presets, and a balanced port. In terms of budget audiophile, there a definitely better ways to go. I'd also say to go check out EQ software like Equalizer APO. I'm currently using an RME ADI-2 FS, Singxser SA-1, and XDuoo TA-20 for my desktop if anyone cares.

Not to worry about the heat.
Great quality. Gets hot but not to the extreme. Love the product. My vinyls finally sound like the 21 century

Cheap. Not in a good way.
First, the most important thing is sound - how does it perform? It performs "Ok", meaning there's a low noise floor and it seems to do the job of +/- 12db attenuation across the frequency bands. Is it worth the price? Let's go to the build. This feels, and operates "cheap" - not what you'd expect from a company that boasts about being "Made in the USA". I had to return my first order because the rightmost knob was basically stuck, rubbing against the plastic frame. At this price I'd expect some quality control because as far as being "cheap" for the money, it's not worth the price, the price is way more expensive than the build. Finally, talking about price I find it odd that I have to pay $40 USD more buying it from Amazon vs. buying directly from Schiit's website. That's just not right, and the seller was SchiitAudio so I'd imagine this is directly from Schiit but they're overcharging you on Amazon.

Works as designed. Made in the USA. Company that cares about audio.
Works exactly as designed. Well made. You can really tell when you buy little components like this from a company that actually cares about producing audio equipment. You should take a close look at this company when you're buying these kinds of things.

Loki Mini+ transforms your system without getting in the way, or making itself known. Forget noisy, bad-sounding equalizers you may have used in the past. Loki Mini+ uses a single, discrete, current-feedback gain stage, coupled to passive LC filters for 3 bands, plus a gyrator for the bass. It also uses sealed Alps potentiometers with rational adjustment ranges to allow for fine control.
