I like it but it has to be screwed to the wall otherwise the goats will remove it

Has no lid
So obvious now, but this thing has no lid. I was so hoping to stop my birds from pooping in the mineral when they roost on the stall rails. Alas, this is not going to do it. Looks like I shall have to 3D print something to cover the top. The interior edges are kind of sharp and smallish for larger breed sheep or animals with a larger head. Maybe they can get a tongue in there. I'll update once I try this thing out.

It works, but with one modification
This mineral feeder does what it needs to do and the feeder itself is fine, but the mounting hardware was clearly designed by someone who doesn't have goats. It's a V-shaped bracket that you set the feeder down into. My goats quickly made a game of lifting the feeder out of the bracket and knocking it off the barn wall. A screw through the top of the feeder ended that game, but not before lots of minerals were wasted. It's a nice idea to make the feeder removable for cleaning, but in practice it just means the goats have a new thing to knock over.

Not for large goats
We spent a lot of money on these, more than $700 for the nearly 30 goats we have. I was very disappointed with them. The holes are too small for a large goat (Lamancha dairy)'s nose to fit in the holes to eat grain or minerals. Furthermore, the goats would become frustrated with how difficult it was and yanked them off of the bracket, stomp on them, denting them. These might work for hobby goats like Nigerian Dwarfs.

Pain to hang with their hardware
The feeder is a great size for a small pen of goats for their minerals. One of them barely lets any minerals out to fill the bottom and the other one overflows out of the feeder. After multiple attempts to adjust it, neither one works perfectly. Better than what we’re using before, but not as good as some of the others, I have seen others using.
