one more time! best mistake ever made!
well! wrong one! But! its the right one for the job! This thing is nothing but a workhorse, I have TRYED TO overload it. videos, document, and other items RUNNING same time, trying to slow it down to no avail. Multitasking is easy. No complaints here! Im using-it for YouTube vids and it seems to be getting the job done! JBODiers. P.S. this site would not take the pics! I'll be posting on YouTube.

Great buy, but...
I picked this up a few months ago due to price, specifically for audio production in both live and studio environments. The unit normally works great; however, there are certain aspects of how this unit was sold that became concerning upon closer inspection. On arrival, the exterior condition was essentially immaculate given the age, It had some minor surface blemishes, but far fewer than what I would expect for a 12-year-old system. Performance-wise, the Mac Pro holds up well. After an install of Windows 10, the unit is capable of running upwards of 60 audio channels with at 8-sample latency on minimal dropouts, so its suitable for running multichannel backing tracks, high-end Drum VSTi and guitar/bass amp/cab modeling plugins, and standard effects, so on that, it's certainly an amazing purchase for the price. It's worth noting that due to the fact of how these units come equipped versus how small their footprint is. A system chassis of a diameter of no more than 6.6" which hosts not only a Xeon CPU running at full tilt and dual AMD FirePro D700s is, by nature, going to be hot irrespective of the size of the heat sink. ***Proper airflow is essential for this unit and should be every owner's top priority.*** Some of the fan fins were completely obstructed, and not the kind of buildup that could be explained by just a few months of my use in the environments I use them in. It makes me conclude that the depth of the refurbishment they went to was limited to, perhaps, a memory upgrade, possibly a replacement of the NVMe, and reinstall of MacOS, while completely overlooking the condition of the exhaust fan. That said, quality checks at the refurbisher level leaves a little to be desired, and a crash was experienced that I managed to trace back to the unit overheating, meaning that because of the way these systems were built, the unit needs a full teardown, cleaning, and repaste (Arctic MX-6 to the rescue). This is work I would have expected to have been handled as part of the refurb process. Value-wise, I still feel it was worth the price I paid, but certain quality control measures leave something to be desired. The listing itself also lacked detail about which specific GPUs were included. To the seller's credit, they did respond and gave me the specifics, but it would have been better to have that information upfront). Overall, I would recommend this unit only to buyers who are comfortable doing their own quality checks and maintenance. If you’re expecting a turn-key refurbished system with full thermal servicing already done, this might not meet your expectations.

Trash Can!
WOW! Who would have thought that for $400 in 2024, you could have bought a Mac Pro that sold for over $5,000 - 5 years ago! I was sent a very clean - near mint unit. It came with Monterey so I used OpenCore and updated the OS to Sonoma. It runs well enough to do most tasks as fast as many "fresher apples". Very Happy with it!

Display doesn't work
I just got one today, but the screen doesn't work. I connected my AOC monitor, that works fine with my Macbook Pro, but it showed No Signal. Tried with different cables, but no picture on the screen.

Strong old tech
I really loved the old macs and the power they gave to you, being a 2015 machine it will not be on par to newer devices but still packs a big punch. Well worth it for the price that is being sold at

No longer a powerhouse, but still cool
This old Mac Pro isn’t as powerful as a MacBook today but it’s still a functional machine with a unique design. It reminds be of the old G4 Cube during the PowerPC days.
