I bought this as a retrieval magnet for anything that gets dropped in a drain or under a cabinet. This has got to be the strongest magnet I've ever bought. I have no doubt when they say it will pick up 60lbs+, they mean it. It starts pulling about 1.5" away from a metal surface. Once you hit that threshold, you can't hardly hold it back. Love it

Seem to be strong enough.. coating is not applied well
I have purchased 3 of these so far and only one has come with the silver plating fully intact.. the other 2 have spots where it is chiped off.

Be careful, extremely hard and brittle, but very strong. Two hitting each other will chip.

Very strong, large magnetic field.
Great quality, in regards to magnetic field. The physical magnet itself isn't coated thickly by metallic coating. Small impact of another Magnet will cause chip/bubble/on surface of the Magnet.
