The drive is tiny, it’s good VFM, and it’s a Seagate!
This review is for the 1 TB variant. It was quite a surprise to open the box: The drive is *tiny*. (See photo with a 20-rupee note for scale.) Pros: → Like I said, it’s tiny. → Transfer speeds: I don’t know about USB ___, but with my USB 2.0 interfaces, the speed is close to the theoretical maximum. → This is not a pro—but rather, an anti-con: 931 GB is available for use, which is exactly what I expected. Some people expect a full 1,024 GB, though—but disks always afford less free space than advertised (do a simple search for why this happens). → If you’ll use the drive for backup, the backup software—which you can download for free once you register the product—has a clean interface. There are free alternatives for backup software, of course, so this a small pro. → The price is lower than you should expect, considering it’s a Seagate. Cons: → The cable is as short as the drive is tiny (see photo)—but this can be a pro if you have too many cables on your desk! → SSDs and HDDs are both always slower when connected to a USB hub rather than directly to the laptop or desktop—with the speed ratio being about 1.5:1. With this drive, though, the difference is more like 2:1. This *really* shouldn’t matter at all, but well, it is a small negative.

Easy to set up, blazing fast speed.
First day of use: 21.05.2025 1. Easy to set up 2. Super tiny size (just a bit larger than my car keys) 3. 2 cables includes (USB C to USC C and USC A to USB C). Seller needs to clarify this in the product description. Time machine back up was very fast. I would highly recommend this product

Excellent external SSD, price could've been a little better
Overall, this SSD from Seagate is excellent: speeds live up to the claims (just make sure your port is atleast Thunderbolt 3 and above with > 10gbps signalling rate or USB 3.2 on a standard A interface) and it is incredibly small and portable. Matter of fact, it's so small that I almost thought that the item was a warranty card or something haha. My only complaint is the price, it could've been better.
