ZV-E10 Cage with Silicone Handle and Built-in Threaded Holes, Cold Shoe and Quick Release Plate for Sony ZV-E10

This cage is a game-changer for my Sony ZV-E10 setup. The fit is perfect, and the silicone grip makes it so much more comfortable to hold for long shoots. It adds great protection to the camera while still giving full access to the buttons, battery, and memory card slot. I love all the mounting points—it’s easy to attach a mic, light, or tripod without feeling bulky. Very sturdy and well-made, definitely worth it if you want to upgrade your rig.

One of the interesting things about purchasing products that have been on the market for a few years is that they have been tested. This discovery of the most insightful benefits and most woesome issues has informed the development of the SMALLRIG Camera Cage for the Sony ZV-E10. And the cage makes the experience of using the Sony ZV-E10 a lot more enjoyable knowing which insights, both bad and good, have come to light. This camera cage is the latest in design from SMALLRIG, at least it is in April of 2025. Including the larger cut out for the hot shoe mount and the arca plate swiss mount made right into the bottom of the cage. I don't want to restate all the improvements it's made, but rather point out this is better buy now, than it was a couple years ago. More bang for your buck! And out of the box, what you get is the cage and small baggie containing the securing clip, screw, and allen key. No plastic, I like that. I bought this camera cage mainly for protection of the Sony ZV-E10. The aluminum construction feels great and will protect the corners of the camera from falls that would have caused major damage. Even being aluminum, this will make the camera even more heavier; although, this is the case for all cameras. The cage also makes great use for extra mounting points to turn this little guy into a entry-level "Rig". With the addition of a cold shoe mount on the bottom, 1/4 - 20 and 3/8 inch screw points, you could mount monitors, stands, lights, and microphones. Three 1/4 - 20 threads along each side, four on top with one 3/8, and five on the bottom with a single 3/8 thread as well. I like that it comes with a small silver flat head tool that magnetizes itself into the bottom of the cage. Convenient. I like the fact that it has both 1/4 and 3/8 female threads. Versatile. The camera in it's stock form comes with a very subtle hand grip, I absolutely love the feel and added girth the cage gives you with its silicone grip solution. Incredible. A few drawbacks I noticed. I mount a Arca Swiss plate on the top of the cage with a 1/4 - 20 thread and clamp it to my overhead rig. If you want it dead center, you sacrifice the ability to switch the camera on/off because the switch itself becomes blocked by the overhang of the plate. I remedy this by just shifting it over one to left, and it works fine. And if you have tiny fingers, or small plate this could be your remedy! The depth at which the cage makes the battery compartment can be tricky to get the SD Card and Battery in and out. It's really not a big deal, just takes some time to get used to. Lastly, I may be very well doing it wrong, but the mounting clip that secures the camera to the cage, doesn't fit as tight as I would want it. Meaning, when securing the clip by inserting it into the camera's original dongle mounting location and using the provided screw to fasten them together, the clip doesn't look flush. I tried keeping the bottom screw loose and doing it again, but was unable to flatten it. I'll include pictures for you fam. These really are minor nuances and make no impact on overall satisfaction on the SMALLRIG camera cage for the Sony ZV-E10. Don't get it twisted, I love this thing! It's almost a necessity. Unless you want a really sleek and slim look. It's incredibly useful, with all it's mounting options and the protection it provides alone, is worth the reason to get one for yours. It's worth the cost compared to a new camera. No exaggeration. This cage is for anyone with this camera and I wouldn't recommend anyone to go without it!

This camera cage is an absolute game changer that has completely transformed my shooting experience. The build quality is rock solid, but the real magic lies in the endless array of attachment points that let me rig up my monitors, mics, and lights exactly how I need them. It fits like a glove, and the integrated grip feels so natural and secure in my hand that I actually enjoy holding my camera more now than I did before. I can even still use my DJI mic adapter. A must have for your EV10.

The unibody metal is very high quality, very easy to install. The zve10 is made of plastic and it’s a pretty small size so the metal makes it feel a lot more professional and secure. I love the built in arca Swiss plate, i bought some quick release clamps for my tripods and now I don’t have to screw my camera on and off all the time, just a simple detach and attach. I absolutely love the grip, it’s originally very small and can be annoying for people with bigger hands. The added grip makes it 10x more comfortable to hold. Highly recommend this cage no matter what level you’re at.

These are very high quality and well designed. Just be sure to get the rig that matches your camera, there are 2 versions of the ZV-E10. The V2 rig will fit the V1 camera, but leaves gaps in the fitment. Once I got the proper cage, it fit perfectly and has been very useful.

Great Product. Wasn't sure what to expect from SMALLRIG just cause I've always used gimbals for my cameras. I was not disappointed at all, It made holding the camera easier, Made me feel more secure if something happens to my camera, and lets me switch displays at ease with the thread holes on the sides.

I’d say that most of the reviews here are pretty accurate. This cage is built well and the silicone grip makes it *much* more comfortable to hold. The extra mounts are much appreciated. My wife and I only have a couple small complaints: 1) The cage slightly gets in the way of the shutter button. You can still press it with the side of your finger, but if you have larger fingers you might have some issues. I’m not sure they could make the cage any smaller to accommodate the button, though… 2) The camera strap holes are a little narrow. This cage does not support our other Canon and Sony camera straps as they are too wide for the strap holes provided by the cage. The cage goes over one of the camera’s strap mounts, so you can’t use the camera’s built-in strap mounts while using the cage. Not a deal breaker, but now we need a new strap specifically for this cage. 3) The cage gets in the way of some accessories (mics, lights, etc.) for the hot shoe. Your mileage may vary. Overall, this cage is great. You still have access to everything you need on the camera and it’s built like a tank. There is some added weight with the cage, which is actually appreciated if you’re using a slightly heavier or larger lens as it balances out. If you’re vlogging, using the camera as a webcam, or using the camera on a tripod the cage may not be necessary. However, if you’re doing long handheld sessions, or need a lot of additional mounts and accessories for your camera, this cage will do the trick.

Quality of material is very good. It gives good grip to hold the camera. But felt it is over priced. It fits perfectly to the camera. No need to remove the frame for battery replacement, charging and SD card removal. Once you fix the frame no need to remove it. Will not guarantee it will protect your camera. will give more confidence to hold camera without any fear of fall.

Sturdy cage, nice grip. Great for adding more accessories on to the camera. Decent for protection. But this cage is geared towards building a camera rig than protection.

Have been using this cage for my zv-e10 for a couple of days, and it has made me want to bring out my zv-e10 even more now. The installation of the cage was really very easy, and the camera fit perfectly, the added bonus of the anti twist by adding a small piece that fits in the strap lug on the right hand side, and it stays perfectly in place. The grip makes the zv-e10 a lot more comfortable to hold, which was my main annoyance with the camera itself. The grip can be removed, if that is something that you want. On the bottom there's five 1/4” threads for and the bottom is arca swiss compatible. There is also a small tool on the bottom that functions as a flathead screwdriver and is magnetically held in place. Would have been nice if it also had a hex screw head. All of the ports on the zv-e10 are still accessible when mounted in the cage. And the screen is fully articulating as well. The hot shoe is not restricted while the cage is on, and I can still use my flash or other hot shoe accessories like a microphone and such. There's also a cold shoe mounting option as well but it might block the hot shoe depending on what you use it for. Alternatively there's a secret cold shoe mount on the bottom of the cage. There's also three mounting options for straps, two on the right side and one on the left. Using the two on the right side makes sure that the strap gets in the way of the screen. The cage feels really solid, and while not optimal to drop the camera, I think it would decrease the risk of damaging the camera if it were to happen. Overall its a great improvement for the zv-e10 and it really improves on the feel of the zv-e10 and makes me want to use it more for everyday stuff.

J'ai acheté cette cage pour plusieurs raisons : - Déjà j'ai mis un peu d'argent dans mon appareil et même si ce n'est pas un modèle de photographe, je tenais à le protéger. - J'ai pas mal d’accessoires et je n'ai qu'un seul pas de vis sous mon appareil. Donc impossible d'en monter deux simultanément. - J'ai des lampes pour faire des éclairages d'appoint et comme l'embase est en métal, je ne tiens ABSOLUMENT PAS à les monter sur la griffe à dégagement rapide de mon appareil et que cela fasse un court circuit. J'ai donc commandé cette cage. J'ai bon nombre de produits de la marque Smallrig et je n'ai JAMAIS été déçu. Ici, le produit est dans la continuité de ce que propose la marque. On est sur une cage en aluminium à la finition parfaite. Tout est pensé, on a un revêtement caoutchouc sur toutes les parties en contact avec l'appareil. La cage se monte au moyen d'un outil qui est dissimulé dans la cage et qui tient avec un aimant. La poignée en silicone offre un maintient bien supérieur à la poignée native de l'appareil (un peu plus imposante mais le grip est bien meilleur tout comme la préhension de l'appareil). Tout reste accessible à 100%, les boutons d'enclenchement vidéo, photo, réglages etc... Et bien entendu toutes les connectiques et logements pour batterie et carte SD. Et pour finir, on a des pas de vis absolument de tous les côtés. Je ne saurais dire combien d'équipements on peut monter simultanément mais on peut upgrader sa config de manière vraiment significative. Et on a une griffe de dégagement rapide directement sur la cage. On peut donc monter un éclairage d'appoint à base métallique sans aucun risque pour l'appareil. Alors oui... l'appareil prend 75 grammes au passage. Mais au regard des tous les avantages derrière, c'est vraiment un tout petit désagrément. Personnellement c'est un coup de cœur pour moi ❤
