The Snapmaker Artisan is an impressive 3-in-1 machine that combines 3D printing, laser engraving/cutting, and CNC functionality into one high-quality, versatile unit. From the moment I unboxed it, the Artisan exuded a premium, almost industrial vibe with its sturdy anodized aluminum frame, machined corners, and plexiglass enclosure. I tested all three functions and was pleased with the results. The 3D printer offered a substantial build volume and worked reliably for each of my prints. I made the tutorial spiral pen holder cup, and it printed successfully on the first attempt with the second filament as the support. I also printed it a second time with no supports and was blown away. The underside of each spiral would a little rough, but the rest of the print was nearly perfect. The print speed is average but the overall quality, and hassle free printing was very nice. The laser engraver was a real standout. The tutorial protractor and 90 degree ruler came out so well, it blew me away. Watching the laser through the protective glass was mesmerizing, something that I haven’t seen in many other laser cutters I’ve used. I had a bit more of a learning curve with the CNC. I didn’t level the bed properly the first time and the head cut into the build surface. While annoying I do realize that this was my fault. After running the part I went through the tutorial again and realized that I had missed a key part. Overall though I’m very impressed with the CNC function. It seems to have plenty of power for a variety of materials. The cutting area is large enough for a variety of projects. Snapmaker's software is powerful and combines all three functions, but it does has a learning curve. The menus are deep and the options are extensive, which could overwhelm a first-time user. However, Snapmaker provides helpful tutorials, and once you get oriented the creative possibilities are exciting. After a few projects, navigating the software became much smoother. Physically switching between the 3D printing, laser, and CNC modules was quick and simple. The direct drive extruder and filament runout sensor are nice touches for the 3D printer, but something I would expect at this price point. The laser is impressive at 40w, and the CNC spindle is no slouch at 200w. Key strengths of the Artisan are its premium build quality, ease of swapping functions, and all-in-one software. While the enclosure interlocks prevent firing the laser with the door open, it would be even better if there was a physical lock for extra security. Overall, I'd rate it 8.5/10 and gladly recommend the Snapmaker Artisan for hobbyists, engineers, designers, and small businesses needing pro-level 3D printing, laser cutting and CNC in a sleek, integrated package. It's priced at a premium, but is an excellent value when considering the quality, features and capabilities provided. Yes, there's a learning curve - this isn't a plug-and-play toy. And the price may be out of reach for casual users. But for committed makers who will use the advanced functions, the Artisan is a compelling choice and an upgrade from entry-level 3D printers or DIY laser/CNC kits. Once mastered, it empowers endless creative projects from craft items to robotics to schematics to woodwork and much more. I absolutely love this printer. Yes, it expensive, but you get what you pay for. I can switch between 3D printing, laser etching or CNC in less than 5 minutes. Calibration is easy and build quality is excellent. The only caution I have is size taking into account the enclosure. With the separate control head, plan on at least a 4x5 workspace to make using comfortable.

I've had this thing for 4 months now and I've yet to get to print properly. Right out of box whatever came out of the right extruder usually failed, strings and blobs everywhere no matter what filament I used. After endless troubleshooting figured the head was actually hitting whatever it was printing on. Tried Auto Calibrations didn't work, tried manual Calibration didn't work. In fact the more I calibrated the machine the worse it got. No matter what settings I used or different Calibration heights it would just always get worse. To the point where now the bed is scratched and I think the hot ends are damaged because they just dribble melted filament as soon as they get hot. My only option now is to take apart the print head and check if the motors to raise and lower the extruders are actually working properly which seems like they possibly might not be as that is a relatively factory defect. That's not even the only issue, say you even get this thing printing it's software is so shit that some times the program will just stop for no reason and give you an on screen error that is blank or some times in chinese. So that's cool. Also the slicer is also a joke, it barely functions hald the time, endless errors and bizarre glitches for no reason are in store for you. Do not buy this thing.

No instructions only a quick start guide so this was difficult to put together. Between YouTube videos and some common sense I got it together in about 4 hours.

I really wanted to love this printer but the software is too far behind the competition. It is very hard to find the settings you need, there is no search function. There is no camera. Sending a file via wifi has way too many steps, the app is useless. The worst problem was I never got it to successfully print a first layer. If I get half of the build plate to align the other half will be off. Changing the z offset would help but not much.

Es una imperosa anticuada,180mm por segundo, es algo que no te dice la publicidad de esta impresora, es muy lenta para mi negocio. Pero si solo la quieres como diversión esta bien.

Cool rig. Got a 3n1 artisan premium w/ rotary add-on. It’s quality material. Lots of great content/videos out there for help. My only problem was… I built the printer & turned it on. Was immediately asked for a credit card. I made a virtual card. I then turned the machine off before doing calibrations. 1 day later that card had 2 fraudulently charge attempts. My bank auto declined them. Very weird

Bought this expecting it to be the Snapmaker Artisan package which on Snapmaker site, is advertised solely as 3-in-1, which includes CNC, Engraving and 3D print modules, and necessary platforms. Ordered on 4 December 2024, and finally received it yesterday (02 Jan 2025) the box it comes in states that it was box one of two. Only received the one box. When I spoke to Amazon, the store page showed that it was marketed originally as 3-in-1 on seller page, and updated to "(Craft 3D Printer (3D Print Version))", although the store front page still shows the 3 modules and what they do. Followed up with Snapmaker company and they expressed concern as Snapmaker Artisan is not available for 3D printer only configuration, but has to be custom ordered through Snapmaker if requested to be printer only. The concern is individuals and third party sellers are breaking down second box and modules / platforms are being sold individually. Trying to start a small business is stressful enough without the delay and not receiving the package expected. Lesson learned. Item returned as it was not what was advertised / what I need.
