I was hesitant to buy this test because of the price, but am so glad that I did. I was testing my kitten, & it was pretty easy to get both 'swab' samples from his gum & cheek area. I mailed it to Nebraska from Wisconsin on a Monday, & they got it on Thursday. It only took a little over 2 weeks for the coolest results ever! These results are very detailed with pictures & information galore! There is a breed section, Trait section, Health section, Blood type, etc I recommend this test to anyone wondering about their sweet pet and his/her DNA story🥰 (Be sure to take your time & read through everything in your results, especially in the 'Breeds' area to get great understanding.)

Let me start by saying I'm shocked they had enough dna to test it on the first try! I thought I didn't get enough on the swab but said, let's give it a go... if i have to try it again, I'll be better at it and it'll give my cat some time to forget about it. Well it worked! Just got my results!! The most important part is her health results. She is a carrier for a disorder but otherwise came up clear for everything. That peace of mind, regardless of its positive result in this case, is invaluable. It also got her colors right. She has 2 genes of dilution, 1 of color point, and 2 of solid color. Her ancestry is mostly American Domestic. She is a gray burmese looking baby. Her gray is considered "blue" (dilution), but she has very faint tabby stripes in the light. I also only just realized that her tail is darker than the rest of her fur, hitting the color point! I never saw in until I read this test and saw her in the light. Getting her appearance right gives me a sense that the test got her health right. And that's really what this test is about for me. I can see what she looks like, I don't need them to tell me what she probably looks like. But it was right!

Call me skeptical but I wanted to check the color genes on my new Devon Rex kitten and I saw this test was on sale so I decided to try it. I only provided her name and age so as not to provide any hints that a photo of a pure bred would have offered. The test results came back 2 weeks after I submitted and it was a full report that she was 100% Devon and her gene profile came back with what I expected along with the rest of the testing. The worst part of the process was trying to swab a kittens tiny mouth and thankfully we managed to provide an adequate sample. Definitely worth it if you are interested in your cats genetics.

If you don't mind being a little frivolous with your friends, this is a really great buy. My husband and I bought it for both cats. It was super fun to get the results and we learned things about them that we didn't already know such as genetic details, blood type, and possible issues they could develop.

Fist kit they said they didn't have enough cells to test to run the full panel. At least they sent me a replacement kit at no cost. I thought it would be fine after that, then the results. It was completely off and when I asked them about it, they said that 95% of cats are "American Domestic" and all the breeds that come from them aren't distinguishable since they are all from AD. Seems like the claim when trying to sell the kit that they test for over 70+ breeds, and can give you eye and hair color is bull. Because they got all that wrong on my little guy, and couldn't even tell me what breed he really is (Main Coon). So yeah. beyond disappointed. And since the return window closed while I was waiting for the replacement kit and their new test results, I can't even get my money back.

This told us what we needed to know, that are sphynx cat is not secretly a Martian. I was disappointed with the amount of data provided, however. I wish it told me more interesting facts about my cat.

Was so interesting to see what 2 rescue cats pedigree were. Easy to obtain swab and send off. Does take a while to get results, anticipation was high!

Got both my girls results with in 2 weeks of sending them in it was awesome to beable to see what my rescues DNA and health results were. My other girl had recently had a few health scares so it was great to get more of and inside in to her health as well. Now my vets and I have a better understanding of both my girls needs and health. I wish I would ah e done this sooner for my girls

I have no complaints about the DNA Test Kit itself. The problem is that it cannot be returned to the USA without authorisation. This information is crucial for a customer to know but it was not mentioned by the seller on the website. If the kit can't be analysed, it is useless. The seller isn't concerned about this issue at all and just kept telling me to contact Amazon Customer Services. I asked for a refund and that request was ignored. If you want to buy a DNA Kit, do not use Mahzuz Stores.
