TrackMaster, Winged Thomas

My son is a huge Thomas fan and we have hundreds of Thomas trains so I know the toys pretty well. This Thomas has wings that fold down and even a tail so that Thomas looks like a proper train-plane :) Also the details on Annie and Clarabel with their aviation goggles and blue paintwork is just top-notch. This train is for the 'new' trackmaster tracks but will run on the older ones but not as well. With 2 AA my son was able to play for a few hours before this train started to slow down. He just adored this new train and coaches. Well done Thomas and Friedns for another great addition to the line.

Great !! My grandson like bed it

My son saw a video of this on YouTube and he has really wanted it ever since. I haven't opened it as it's a gift. I awesume the batteries go in the train itself, it takes 2 AA batteries, not included. It has the carriages Annie and clarabelle but they are blue instead of their original brown colour, I think it's because thomas is supposed to be a flying train. The carriages have stickers on the side of them with people on them which I think is good for play. Thomas does have wings and like a spoiler or tail on the back of him at the top ovbiously he doesn't actually fly, but I suppose for a child a train that transforms into a plane is pretty awesome. I haven't seen the video on YouTube but if you watch it it might give you an idea of why a child finds this so appealing. The carriages have clips so I think you can disconnect them if you wish and connect to other trains. Overall I think it's a good imaginative toy and I would reccommend.
